It's time for Reina to go as he's no longer good enough, however I don't think he's declined so much that he's simply going to be Bayern's Brad Jones, warming the bench and playing in preseason games.
Does surprise me that BR seems to want to get rid of Reina, isn't he exactly the type of keeper you would want for the type of system BR has got you playing??

Reina is great with his feet which is what Rodgers likes, but Reina's form dropped a lot in recent sesasons. Not sure why we signed Mig as he is so poor at distribution and with his feet.
he can't save the ball at his near post anymore, we could do with his distribution though, best keeper we've had at quick accurate distribution.
Still he wrote his letter and didn't like another keeper coming in, he could upset the team dynamic with a poor attitude, I loved him but it's time for him to move on IMO.
I think he would suit Pep's system so is decent backup, not that he'll play that much unless Neuer gets injured.
I'd rather keep Reina than Mignolet, he's the better keeper.
BR didn't forgive Reina last time around picking the awful Brad Jones instead. Having said that he probably deserved it. Time to go Pepe, but many thanks for a fine contribution to the club...

is he though?
Reina has better distribution
Ming is a far better shot stopper
Both are not very strong under the cross
Ming is better in one on ones and much stronger at his near post.
I think Ming is better but not by much, Ming is younger though and not on near as big a wage as Pepe would be.
If he's still here come Sunday, I would like to see him play a bit as a send off, just because he and Rodgers maybe don't get along doesn't mean we should forget how good he was in his first few seasons.

No he isn't. He was four seasons ago but he has not only declined but he decided he was too good for Liverpool, tried to go to Arsenal and then sulked and blamed defenders for his mistakes for two seasons.
Mignolet is a much much better shot stopper than Reina. He will improve too. It's only downhill for Reina.
It speaks volumes that Napoli had him on loan, managed by Rafa who brought him to Liverpool and rated him highly and yet they don't want him now.

Reina's distribution is 100x better
Not much to choose between shot stopping (IMO)
Both not great at coming for the ball
Reina communicates with the defence better
Last summer we lost Carra and then our first choice keeper, that's most of the leadership in defence!
What ever peoples opinion about the better between the 2, Mignolet isn't good enough!

Opinions!
For £2m that is a bargain for anyone.
He may be on a big wage, but he earns that for a good reason as he is a top keeper.
Big mistake in my opinion by Rodgers, sounds like the club is just getting high earners off the books. Makes you wonder why Johnson is not also bein moved on.

Sorry I disagree Ming is a far more athletic keeper and a much better shot stopper then Pepe ever was.
Agree Pepe's distribution is much better, to be honest it's better then most keepers it's his best quality.
But think back on how many times in his last 2 seasons he was easily beaten at the near post and in one v ones.
As for organisation I also agree Ming isn't great at it, Id argue Pepe isn't much better, plus we have signed Lovren now who should be the man to replace what Carra brought.
I didn't like Pepe's attitude in the final few years, felt he was always complaing about everythign to the defense despite him being directly at fault for some of the goals he conceeded.
Plus his letter he wrote last season undermined BR completley, do you think he'd be good for squad harmony?

I wouldn't say Mignolet is a better shot stopped than Reina ever was but he certainly is now and that's what's relevant.
TOOR I would, naturally he's more athletic and moves to his left and right quicker then Pepe ever did, don't get me wrong I think Pepe was an amazing keeper and it's sad how it has all ended fro him at LFC but right now I don't think he's worth the wage or the possible disharmony he could bring to the squad.
If he wasn't good for squad harmony he'd be training with the kids, he certainly wouldn't be on the tour with the lads taking part in nights out!
See photos of recent team building night out!
All goal keepers blame everyone for everything, that's always been the case. I'm not here defending him for the letter or wanting to go to Barca, I'm simply giving an opinion that he's a better all round goal keeper for us right now. He's a better fit for how we play!
Seem to remember one certain Suarez flirting with anything that wasn't Liverpool last summer but he was forgiven quite fast.
Makes you wonder why Johnson is not also bein moved on.
-----------------------------------------------
I bet we're trying.

The reason Suarez was forgiven is he got his head down and performed. Reina sulked and moaned and it affected his performance.
The only thing Reina is better at in my opinion is distribution. However considering in most part, we roll the ball out to the defender and don't do the quick kicks or throws down the pitch to Torres anymore, I'm not sure how important that actually is.
We're much more gung-ho in attack too and perhaps having a better shot-stopper is more important.

I think Napoli would have kept him but his wage demands were far too high and Rafael seems ready to become first choice this season.

What's your opinion on him? Considering you have nothing personal against him, like I do and will only judge him purely on his ability, I'm quite interested to know how you feel he performed for you.
