I'll be glad when the schools re-open -- they can then play in their playgrounds instead of on here.

Okay mate, no need to join in with the insults is there? I've apologised, let's move on.
So, what do you think of your strikeforce this year? I thought you might go out in search of a replacement for Sturridge?

Oh really?
One might question whether that was actually off topic in the same vein as a personal insult, and one would certainly question how you can be the first to go off topic if your post is a reply.
"Like De Jong should have?"
For what?
ADJ -- we are still negotiating with Liverpool for Ngog and i think we will get him.
I also think that OC still had some belief in that he could get Sturridge back -- we will see..
I am pleased that we are scoring -- 6 in two games isn't bad, but we still need a pacy striker to give us a different angle rather than relying on SKD all the time.
From the comments you two have made, I think calling you children is right - you seem to be acting like them!!!
Look we know what this is
Some City fans have become like the fans of other top five/six teams. They have a divine right to beat us, and we're only allowed to play tippy-tappy football so they can cut through us like a hot knife through butter
Oh, and David Silva. Stones and glass houses
Reebok man (U1879)
That's interesting - Ngog always got a rough deal but he's quite young, so would be interesting to see how he does playing week in week out.
Sturridge surely can't stay at Chelsea with Torres, Drogba and Anelka?! Whether it's right or not, he will always be at least 3rd choice I think. Good player though.

De Jong broke Ben Arfur's leg but it was accidental and the ref did not even deem it worthy of a free kick, in fact nobody, not even the Newcastle players bothered about the tackle until it was realised he was injured and the play was then halted. If you are going to make silly comaprisons to justify Davies deliberately raking his studs down another players achillies from behind you are no better than he is, that was a career ending tackle, accidental broken legs do not end careers.

I don't think having a pedantic debate is being childish - I think it's just being a bit pedantic
Citizen, so when De Jong kicked that spanish player in the chest, that was accidental?
Also, did Ageuro even need treatment after the challenge?
"accidental broken legs do not end careers"
Have you heard of David Busst?
"that was a career ending tackle"
Poetic license is alive and well
so when De Jong kicked that spanish player in the chest, that was accidental?
--------------------------------------------
Yes. He meant to kick him in the stomach.
Why was Silva cheating he went down once because he was caught by a high boot which was nowhere near the ball as shown on the replay, he was caught near his nads and it looked a sore one but how dare he have the audacity to fall to the ground like Davies who is barely ever touched when he crumples after backing into centrebacks time after time.
Milner went down nowhere near as regularly as Davies and i only remember him going down a couple of times, once when he had to go off because the trainer had been on. To try and compare these two players that are not even known for being that type of player to Davies is simply clutching at straws.
As for all these childish comments about City buying games and being a billionaire's plaything etc etc.??
It's been done to death lads, grow up, if you have nothing adult to say keep quiet while the grown ups are talking.
I have to say, I am a big believer of not judging a tackle by the extent of an injury.
In De Jongs cases. The tackle against Ben Arfa, was strong, fair and clean. I must admit, I haven't seen the tackle against Holden.
I just disagree with the OP calling Davies a cheat and useless and dirty. I appreciate that most fans respect KD's competitive nature and see him as a nuisance. I have been vocal about my opinion on Kevin Davies and would agree with a previous comment that Bolton would be much better to watch without KD.

Davies got up, Milner was rolling around on the floor clutching his ankle grimicing in pain. If KD doesn't get the free kick, he just gets on with it...
de Jong is a savage like Roy Keane.
I'm sure we can all agree on that.
Kevin Davies can mix it and use his elbows at times but never injures players.

When City were a mid-table team (at best), the perceived "arrogance" of other supporters grated on me. But now that we are a team capable of challenging for the title, and can see it from the "other side of the fence", what I regarded to be "arrogance" is probably better defined as confidence. The club is slowly and surely developing a winning mentality, and this extends right from the dressing room to the terraces.
And both a winning mentality and confidence are necessary attributes that any club needs if it is to be successful. Perhaps a little arrogance thrown in on top. Having said that, the three terms are not necessarily mutally exclusive anyway.
"Typing a wrong letter is "mistyped", typing a completely wrong word is simply wrong not a mistype "
A mistype can also be where you mean to type one thing when you construct a sentence in your mind, but you type something else through error. I know full well Abu Dhabi is in the Middle East, I've referred to it in other threads. Get over it and please do elaborate on your view that accidental broken legs do not end careers. Maybe you mistyped too.
"Robot, from what I saw of it, it was a bad tackle worthy of a yellow but there was no malice in it he was going for the ball just mucked it up."
Well that qualifies for the most naieve comment of the week or the biggest lie. Silva was going away from Davies who clearly just raked his studs down the back of Silva's achillies nowhere near the ball which was ahead of Silva, he knew exactly what he was doing he had no intention of playing the ball and was nowhere near the ball. I suggest you watch that incident again, to defend it with that weak nonsense is simply pathetic.
All City fans are now arrogant, Bitter and Angry. Never before have i seen a set of fans all so angry after winning a game against a team that challenged them. Chav mentality.
