It makes it a harder arguement to say X was better in Y league though.
If Lambert were at Madrid, it could be argued he'd be as good as RVP

Mata is currently better than Ozil, not sure where there's an argument
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this is the problem with this sort of thing.
Based on last season.... Rickie Lambert is better than Van Persie. Maybe he is?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lambert is class, a lot of what he does is unnoticed. in terms of link up play he reminds me if Drogs in his prime
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is what people don't understand. There's no use being a nice guy when you don't play well. Ozil plays well and his stats dwarf Mata's, playing in a weaker side.

Toor
Lets see these stats then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When has Toor ever backed anything up with facts?
2010/11 Ozil ranked first in Europe with assists.
2011/12
Ozil ranked first in La Liga with assist, with 17 and was nominated for Balon D'or.
2012/13
Ozil had 25 assists, more than any other league in Europe.
In fact only Messi equaled his assists since he arrived in La Liga.
Real Madrid signed and built a team around Ozil. The same club flogged Mata off to Valencia without even giving him a chance to play.
Jose Mourinho called Ozil the best number 10 in the world. The same man benched and eventually sold Mata within 6 months of taking over at Chelsea.
All that Mata has over Ozil is goal scoring ability. And it's not miles better, either. Considering in their careers at senior level, Ozil has 70 goals from 410 appearances, Mata has 96 goals from 361 appearances.
In their entire careers, Ozil blows Mata out of the water creatively, with 156 assists for club and country, opposed to just 98 for Mata.
Last season when Ozil failed to live up to expectations, he managed 11 goals and 20 assists for club and country in 58 appearances. In 45 appearances, Mata managed just 10 goals and 9 assists.
Dating back to 09/10, Ozil has created 719 chances (not including domestic cup matches in Germany/Spain/England), Mata just 484 (not including domestic cup matches in Spain/England).
Even this season in the 4 games Ozil has played, he has created 8 chances which is double what Mata has created in his 4 games.
So despite Ozil having a terrible time at the moment, and on current form is probably worse than some nobody like Aiden McGeady, form is temporary, class is permanent, and at the top of their games, Ozil is considerably classier than Mata. Thank you and goodnight

I think you have to give TOOR some grace here lads. If Rafa had been your manager, would you ever use facts in public?
Btw, in all their times as footballers, Ozil has had more assists than Mata every season.
Considering in their careers at senior level, Ozil has 70 goals from 410 appearances, Mata has 96 goals from 361 appearances
------------------------------------
1 in 6 is significantly worse than 1 in 4.
"Ozil has 70 goals from 410 appearances, Mata has 96 goals from 361 appearances"
yowser
Ozil 1 goal every 5.86 games
Mata 1 goal every 3.76 games

I provided Ozil's, no need to provide Mata's. It's not even close.
Perhaps you can provide the stats?
Ozil is twice the player.
You are picking out goal scoring stats when I've already said Mata is by far the better goal scorer. Ozil creatively shíts on Mata.

Neither has Mata.
Since Ozil has been playing in the same league as Mata (and without Ronaldo to pass to), Mata has shat on Ozil creatively.
Ergo Mata > Ozil
