I would be out of the toilet within 5 mins rather than my usual 30 min dumps.

Same here!!!
Porno mag sales would go up.
As I work for a software development company, I think I'd be out of a job and sent down shít creek.
I don't have internet at home yet so that doesn't make a difference.

Do you not use 3G, on your phone?
Cash machines would stop working.
I'd get a lot more work done.

Yeah I do, although it's making me phone bill over £70 so I have switched it off and use my wi-fi at work.
Lot's of things would stop working, we'd be fúcked. I'd have to actually speak to people.

"Cash machines would stop working"
So we're not just winding back the clock? We're not just removing the internet, but no computer can talk to any other computer? We're removing all computer networks? Well, that's a bit different.

My life will get easy though as my wife as added me to this Samsung family app which basically tells her everywhere I go. I can't make crap up anymore and the only way to stop myself from being detected is to switch off my phone.

I was guessing to be fair, I am not 100% on how cash machines work.
No, we're not rolling back the clock, just the internet has been switched off, and will not be coming back. I thought cash machines used the internet these days.
There's one in the local shop near work, you can hear it dialling up when you're using it.

Don't they usually link through a server/ the cloud anyway?
Never had to think about that, I'm sure you could integrate another way.
Even though my entire life and career is in computers, I would love them to disappear tomorrow. It'd be nice and quiet. Can we banish the internal combustion engine too? I'd miss motorbikes, but I could probably get into riding a horse.

They probably do now - but the internet is just lots and lots of networks plugged into each other. Essentially. And many of these isolated networks existed long before the internet.
I actually think the world would be a better place without internet, at least in my head it would be. I wouldn't need to know about ISIS, famine or watch videos of people drinking a pint or throwing water over themselves.
On the other side I wouldn't have access to the fappening.
But with no Facebook how else will I know what my friends are having for dinner, what they did at the weekend, and how cute their kid looks?
Oh yeah......I forgot......I don't give a sh]t !

You sound like a good friend.
so we'd have to go back to basics. Typewriters instead of keyboards. Paperbacks instead of Kindle and no downloading iplayer. Talking to people. No online grocery. Hate FB/Twitter so won't miss that at all. Only thing I'd miss would be Amazon.

The old fashion way - people would visit each other, and talk to each other and write letters.
And you would die alone, as no-one speaks to the grumpy old man.

No. The internet just stopped working.
Your Kindle would still work, but there'd be no way of purchasing new books for it.
Same with computers. You wouldn't have to go to a typewriter as the computer would still work without an Internet connection.
