Am I the only one who loved that unbeaten season yet still thinked we underachieved in CL that season?

I'm quite sure we would have won the thing if it weren't for Wayne bloody Bridge. But that's the nature of knockout football. You can't really say you "underachieved" in the CL in a particular season, unless you didn't even make it out of the group or something.

Of course you can. Who are you to say someone can't feel like we've underachieved in a competition? Especially when it rings true!
You qualify for a competition 17 times, you don't win it once despite having the best team in Europe at one stage. If teams with less quality & resources than us have won it in the past, why haven't we? In my opinion, we most definitely have under achieved in Europe, not even the most ardent Arsenal supporter can say otherwise.

So what? It doesn't change any of what I've said.
Even if we're using the unbeaten season in isolation, we still underachieved that season in terms of trophies won. Why? We had the best side in European football and we got knocked out by a side we'd beaten three times that same season. Bottling if I've ever seen it.
As good as the 03-04 team was, we should have won more than one trophy. In that respect, that team did underachieve, even in domestic cups too.
True about Europe. I remember Arsenal outclassing Liverpool at Anfield in the CL for about 30 mins and then conceding an equaliser and we lost even after going ahead in the tie with 8 mins left through Adebayor
We were never the best side in Europe, Real and Milan were the best teams of that era. Wenger probably has underachieved in Europe though as he should have got to semis and finals more often.. but Arsenal had never got to the semis or finals before Wenger.
Man utd and Barcelona had a spell to after. Man utd at least got 2007–2011 England Manchester United 151.157
