That's a moot point. Playing defensively and having a sold spine are two different things. Also, not sure you can really make any assertions on anecdotal evidence.

Once Wenger goes I expect Arsenal to struggle to get into top 4. Probably get into top 4 once in next 10 years I would say if Wenger leaves.

This is exactly the problem we have, we are no longer considered title challengers but rather "a top 4 club". I'd happily accept the risk of dropping out of the top 4 to return as title challengers. What has qualifying for top 4 achieved in last 10yrs? Liverpool have had more of a title threat then us and they've not been a consistent top 4 club. I'm sick and tired of top 4, it has only profited the boardroom and assisted in mugging the fans for forking the most match day ticket prices in the entire World.
We will lose tomorrow, you can put your mortgage on it. Wenger needs to go. It is that simple.

You forgot the other common denominator between Murinho and SAF, when it comes to beating Wenger.
Stronger teams/squads. Just guessing but, I think Jose having a team that cost 3 times ours to assemble, is probably a big part of his record over Wenger.
The reason Chelsea have a stronger squad than us this season is because Wenger CHOSE not to strengthen the team adequately enough. And that's why they'll beat us tomorrow.
