Well if there is any truth to that, then we are desperate.

Ridgewell signed a new deal worth about £16K a week under Brady so would most likely have a relegation clause, so he could now only be on £8-12K tops.

If we are that desperate to move his £10K ish wages off the books then thats not a good sign at all. We already have a bare thin sqaud as it is.

If this is true then i hope we go into Administration ASAP!

That way we can end all this get Carson the Clown out of our club and then rebuild. Because at the moment we just dont know where we and the club stands.

Well the club is taking the "refuse to comment on speculation" stance. The last time they did this was when the ridiculous idea of loaning out Foster was going around. Worrying few days ahead.

Ridgewell was on £12K we gave him a £16K deal, Jerome was on £10K we gave him a £18K deal.

Anyway the point still stands, chances are Brady would have put a Relegation clause now under S&G they was usually 50% Cut.

So i would be really suprised if Ridgewell is draining more than £500K a year off our Wagebill.

If we are to get a new LB/CB chances are they would cost between £5-10K wages unless we sign a player who is either Young from Championship or Loan from the Prem, or is a player of even lesser calibre than any of our defenders we have now, and lesser calibre than Parnaby was.

So makes no sence to loan Ridgewell out, unless....

1) Everton are interested in buying him but want a try before you buy deal.

2) Ridgewell as said he does not want to play for us anymore.

3) We are really desperate for cash, and if thats the case we would expect to see any player loaned or sold if offers come in, inc Davies, Carr and Beausajour.

I think this rumour is nothing more, as it makes no sence what so ever, i can understand with Foster as he was earning about £1.5M a season, but we could maybe had talked to Foster and seen if he would take a 50% cut that he would get back if Promoted.

But maybe we just was not interested in any kind of compremise and maybe like we never tried to agree newer reduced wage Terms for Phillips, Bowyer and every other player who has left on a free.

Just checked with a few online rags and they do indeed claim that Everton and Celtic want Ridgewell on loan and Everton would want to make it a permament deal once they get some cash flow.

Thats not to say he is on his way, just clubs are interested but dont forget 5 clubs have been interested in Dann and 3 in Jerome but we have not sold them yet.

The same article says a £3M move to WBA broke down over terms.

If its a loan with a option to buy in January then i guess thats Ridgewell going then, shame as he would do a really good job this season.

But i guess the player cant be blamed, we cant garuntee we would get Promoted and also chances are a move to Everton would mean more wages.

look, Everton dont make sense... they are skint. And even if they do sell Jagielka, they want a good centre back (which Ridge isn't) not a good full back (which Ridge is). If anything, they would be after Dann.

Ridge is also cup tied, so that may put Celtic off too....

Bigeks. I very rarely buy papers and especially avoid red tops. The rumour I have seen has been around for a few days on the net.
Blues have denied any interest from Everton or Celtic but confirmed they turned down a £1million bid from WBA. Blues also denied Carr was off to Wolves.
Rumours keep the board ticking over and if we only dealt in facts we would have one post a week.

But these kind of rumours only serve to make a bad situation worse than it already is.

Why cant we have some of the 'good' rumours? Like N'Daw for instance.... no-one saw that coming, yet there are rumours with no substance about Ridge.

BTW, the signing of N'Daw also dispells the myth that we need to get players like Ridge and Jerome off the wage bill too.

IMO, if we get Zigic off the wage bill we will be ok. We probably will sell Dann but wouldn't have to.

As i said before Zigics £50-55K wage would get 5-10 Championship Players as far as wages goes.

Everton are not as skint as people make out, we however are not only propper skint we are propper in debts aswell
