Somebody mentioned earlier, some of Chelsea's signings before RA was involved. Including Zola...in my humble opinion the best striker to have graced the Premier League. Even as recently as Zola's time it wasn't JUST about the money.
But it's difficult to compete now, even for massive clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool.
Chelsea and City could quite easily have been Spurs and Newcastle. Good luck to them, no point trying to stop it all now...we all pay the ticket money and Sky fees...we reap what we sow boys.

Arsenal fans, as annoying as it is that Chelsea have (until recently) spent lots of money without the need to account for it, the alternative could be far worse for you guys. Wasn't Abramovic looking at Spurs before he settled on buying Chelsea? Imagine all the investment from Abramovic going to White Hart Lane instead. I think you'd find that far harder to stomach...

You know I get the opposite feeling sometimes when I hear the Sheikh looked at club x or y....
If roman had took over the spu ds in stead of Cfc they would have won lots of trophys and Cfc would be where Spurs are now potless

Spurs might have taken a year or 2 longer, but once they got in the Champions League, they would have taken off. There are enough precedents such as Chelsea, Man City and PSG to show this as a virtual certainty.
