Reidy out for 10 weeks!!!

This is a real blow. I think it could actually cost us top two this season. He is too much if an portabt player for us to lose.

I can't see how we will find a player to replace him? Not on loan. We will end up with a young player from the prem I would imagine? Not someone with the experience of reidy.

The only plus is that hopefully he will be back fresh in the new year and we can make a push for it then.

That's not good

Look at our record without him in the team this season.
Psycho will be well aware of what needs to be done & has talked many many times of Fawaz's eagerness to back him in the transfer market. Getting a TOP quality player in, is arguably the most important signing / issue to be resolved of this entire campaign.

I can't believe our blôody luck with injuries.

Shockingly predictable

Seem to be falling back into the pattern that developed last season. Fully agree with Left Post, without a top quality, shatter-proof replacement coming in on loan, we will struggle as we have done recently.

How did he get injured? Was it training with the roi squad?

I think that's a bit dramatic Rev. If Lansbury can pick up form and now that Fryatt's back we'll be a decent side without Reid. Big loss, but just need Henri to improve. Will be even better if Vaughan can make a run in the team.

Is that 10 weeks from now meaning his injury is keeping him out 15 weeks, or 10 weeks from when he was first injured against Derby, Meaning like another 5 weeks? Just confused why this info is only coming out now?

I kind of agree with Rev in this. Without Reid we aren't a promotion winning side, especially with Lansbury playing poorly. If Vaughan does recover then I'd be less worried but I have no confidence in his fitness.

So we've lost Cohen, Hobbs, Vaughan and Reid to injuries, just like last season. I'm kind of expecting Lansbury to be next. And Wilson obviously.

Andy, his column in the evening post said he saw a specialist in Leeds and they found the issue was worse than expected. It says 8 to 12 weeks there and I would think that is from the injection he had this week

Rev - I do, yes. The nil nils all came without Fryatt. Reid wasn't in good form before the injury anyway, and I don't think he had that much to do with our early form. Don't get me wrong, he's our best player and we'll miss him, but I'm not as concerned as I would've been this time last year. Easily still a top six side for me.

He was carrying the injury by the sounds of it, may explain the average form

Just makes you wonder what a fully fit squad would do to our form. Surely we'd be a few points clear by now.

From the NEP:

if I get back just after Christmas time hopefully it might give everyone a little bit of a lift and I can try to contribute towards what we all ultimately want come the end of the season – promotion.

My groin has actually been a little bit sore since my hernia operation last season.

Although I've worked a lot on strengthening the area, it's still been niggling away and I've never quite felt 100 per cent.

Whenever I did any sharp movements like twisting and turning or opening out controlling a pass, I felt it pull.

Explains a few things ref his slightly inconsistent form this season.

I think Forest should do their own injury lottery, pay £1 and guess who'll be injured next. It has to be at least a six week lay-off to win though.

I bet Wilson goes before November.

Don't go down there, you'll only ruin your day. If Antonio had scored that "sitter" we'd be... ahem, like I was saying...

Who is to say they didn't know at the time? Players often play on with issues that they are trying to manage. Costa has been for Chelsea

There are no top quality replacements! We can only loan a player as can't buy till Jan. No point buying if Reid is back then anyway. So we have to loan someone. There will only be up and coming youngsters are journey men left to loan. We will not be able to get the quality we need in. Will just have I do te best we an until jan.

We still have a strong squad and if Vaughan and Lansbury stay fit and improve we will be ok.
