terrible dive....so hartson is right.
i like the cut on gary monk's jib.......got a touch of the fergie's and jose' about him...speakout....speak loud and hope it plants a seed in refs minds.
Now I know Bony is a big guy, but feck me, talk about exaggeration, Hughes said Bony was 15-16st of pure muscle.
Hughes was implying Bony went down easy, which is saying the same thing really, just didn't say the word cheat.
You can't call cheats "cheats" anymore, it's deeply distressing to them, you can't just go discriminating like that nowadays, it is after all 2014.
What's the point in having pundits on MOTD if they can't say what they think?
Monk was spot on for calling Moses a diving cheat. The interviewer absolutely led him down a path and set him up to say that, but monk was spot on.
As we know, the dive won't get punished, rather it helped secure 3 points. Calling a spade a spade is the real crime here
Hartson is also a Swansea City fan. Obviously he's going to be of the opinion he's a cheat.
Hope Monk is fined for his racist comments.

They can, but I believe in today's modern society you shouldn't be allowed to throw accusations around willy nilly
It's got nothing to do with club allegiance, a CARDIFF City fan would also say Moses dived.
Was he upset when his players were diving all over the place at OT?

All I'm saying is a pundit who happens to be a supporter of victimised club in question might happen to word their opinion more strongly than a neutral pundit.
In that very game, his players were diving, feigning injury and cheating as well. Did he complain about them?
Hughes is one of the worst when it comes to never taking responsbility and blaming everyone else but himself and his team. He must of learned it from Fergie
Spurtle2
Surely not, the pundit should give his opinion whether it's the team he supports or not. If he's a good and honest pundit then he won't let his club allegiance get in the way which I don't think he did in this instance because Moses clearly dived and cheated his way into getting a penalty.
It would be worrying if Stoke's complain had some repercussions as pundits are there to give opinion, sometimes they'll be wrong and other times right. In this situation it is clear to anyone that Moses went down looking for the penalty but because none of us can prove it as 'fact' does that mean no one is entitled to an opinion?

Yeah they should be like that I agree. But it was the case last night when Hartson labelled him a cheat, and Shearer being a neutral pundit was more reluctant to use that word.

I'd imagine he learned it at Blackburn when he was there
The notion that there has to be enough contact to force a player to the floor for it to be a foul was one that died a long time ago... the game has developed/changed/softened... however you want to describe it - fouls nowadays are given for things that 10 year ago people would have complained about. The defender reaches across and grabs hold of Moses' shirt... that is clear for all to see. No it isn't enough to make him go down, and yes Moses feels the mimimal contact and throws himself to the ground... but surely there has to be some blame given to the defender too here? By putting his arm out he is running the risk of giving away a penalty... isn't he?
Spurtle2
But maybe Shearer just didn't personally feel it was as bad as Hartson did, irrelevant who who they support.
I personally think the term 'cheat' perfectly describes what Moses did.
'act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage.'
The defender grabbed his shirt, he took a tumble. I would only take Monk seriously if his players do not dive, they do, did a lot of it and other forms of gamesmanship at OT, now he's a victim and he's whimpering.
If Monk gets charged then I've lost all faith in those governing be game. What is wrong with a little honesty? Perhaps Monks wording wasn't great, he should have said Mosrs cheated, as opposed to is a cheat.
If anything Moses should be banned for cheating Swansea out of a point.

They had the whole second half to score
why is everyone picking on Moses when Lampard did the same the day before?
We've had Young diving all over the place in the past (and won games from it), Liverpool similarly had Teeth doing it non stop. What seems to happen is refs cotton on to individual players and don't give legitimate penalties when these players go down in the box. Moses probably hasn't done himself or his club much of a favour in the long term.
