We just had the dinner ladies in my school, TBH I think the kids drove them all mad so most of them left and newer softer ones came in...

Well the canteen was madness until I left school after that, the old ones struggled to keep order and they were like old worn out battle axes...

Their replacements were far too friendly and softly spoken to keep order..

I was a hungry kid. I'd eat my all own food and pretty much anything the kids next to me didn't want.

Except the liver.

What I never understood is how they couldn't like apricot crumble. Got through 9 servings once.

Ahh fair enough Cal missed that part....

Ah Beetroot. Stil makes me shudder.

Nasty, we never got served liver at school.

I developed a tactic of licking all the food on my plate in comprehensive school....

It might not have looked good but it stopped anyone stealing chips off your plate!!

Congrats to TCP for being recognised as the cant that he is.

This was the 70s. Doubt they punish kids with it nowadays.

My grandad used to do sauteed chicken livers with wine and onion, they were great. But it was either cow or pork liver we got at school. Disgusting.

Kidneys, yeah, again, my grandad used to prepare them v well. Not sure what animal they came from though, they were pretty small, so I suppose they were either lamb or chicken.

Veg I love in all shapes and sizes.

Can we all get back on topic? where's nWo with the somersault smiley?
