It costs money to sack a manager. Maybe if he was on a one year rolling contract it would have been easier to get rid. But he has a neck like a jockey's bollix. He'll go when he's paid.

How loyal this club has been to its managers over the years has been something to be proud of.
There have been a few caretaker managers, but only 12 men have held the post of Rangers manager officially in our entire history. Some clubs have went thorugh that number of managers in the space of a few years.
Only two Rangers managers have ever been sacked. Those two men are David White and Jock Wallace. the rest have either resigned or left by mutual agreement, except William Wilton, who died while he was still manager.
There really is only one Rangers manager that you could say did not get a decent length of time in charge and a completely fair crack at the whip and that man is PLG, however he left by mutual consent.
As of tomorrow, Ally will have been i charge of Rangers of 3 years and 194 days, the exact amount of time Advocaat was in charge of us for, and longer than David White, Willie Waddell and Jock Wallace's second term a manager.
The chances he will be sacked are miniscule.
He has to do the decent thing, and do what most other Rangers managers have done.......realise his time is up

He does seem either clueless or stuborn about his position.
I think if he was going to walk, he would have done so by now.
Change is needed and has to happen asap for me.
Mark my words Ally will be there for the defeat of Celtic in the League Cup Semi-Final.
I know my onions
The only thing that I can say in his defence at this moment in time is that we are still in every competition we entered at the start of the season, and although we are 9 points behind in the league, there is still a long way to go.
Its a minor defence but still a legitimate one
We could be out of two cup competitions in the space of the next week or so if things dont get better

No one ever get sacked without walking out the door with a big sack full of readies
I think it might take more than a few hundred fans at Tynecastle for him to walk.
Perhaps a defeat against Kilmarnock would very well be the one where the whole stadium turns on him. Well maybe not the whole stadium, the 11,000 that show up

If Mccoist is on a 1 year rolling contract he will get slung after the AGM, I am surprised the gutter press haven't cottoned on to that little nugget
I'll be hinest, it was the gutter pressi heard it from aka shuggie keevins on radio Snyde
It will still cost a years wages to sling him though and his coaches
A years wages based on his previous salary from what I've heard.
Strachan is the only manager in the history of british football to walk away without compo, he seems to have realised very early on he had facked up big time.
===========
he was in the job for just over a year
plenty of managers do this btw, not just Strachan.
