Have you seen us this season? We've been so inconsistent nothing would surprise me. The dortmund game was one of the few games this season where we played like more than just Sanchez FC
Based on this season, it's hard to be confident in either team winning this!
Sebastien Pocognoli, one of our 'better' players, is a doubt and Berahino seems to have a pending court case at the top of his mind currently.
It's an away win all the way for me.
Chris Waddle nails it:
"Yes West Brom want to pass the ball but they have nobody running forward apart from Saido Berahino. They are very easy to play against, they just keep passing the ball sideways or behind. You want them to go on and attack a player, take somebody on - that is what the fans want to see. They look scared."
Chris Waddle again:
"It really is all Arsenal. Alan Irvine must be thinking: 'How can I change this?' Because the system he has put out is clearly not working.
"The problem West Brom have is that when they go forward everybody wants the ball to feet. Nobody wants to run and create space. They have got so many technically good footballers, but they've got no legs. There is no movement, and Arsenal are very comfortable. As soon as they get one, I can see the gates opening."
Wake up and do something, Al.
I have to agree with the above. Sideways and backwards...
Sess doing some good work but no one else on his wavelength.
Fúck, and there it is. Danny Welbeck. No way back from this now.

Attacking substitution for Albion - and boy do they need it. Nigeria striker Victor Anichebe replaces defensive midfielder Youssouf Berahino as Baggies boss Alan Irvine goes on the offensive.

This is absolutely pathetic. If this is the best Irvine can do with what is after all a fully fit and talented group of footballers, then he can just go. We have no attacking threat at all really.
Yet another game affected by a poor decision. Berahino was onside when clean through and the linesman got the decision wrong.
I know the knives are out for AI now but all in all this was not a bad defensive performance. Trouble is it is all about defending these days. I can't see the point in calling for his head today but a defeat on Tuesday would be different.
I am getting increasingly fed up of seeing the same guys failing when Ideye, Blanco and Varela don't get a look in.
In our defence. Berahino wasn't even close to being offside, also unlucky to hit the bar with his header.
Nobody stood out as being poor today apart from AI who set the team up to defend again. In the last 15 mins we looked pretty good....
Saw the game on TV.
Albion were very good in the last 15 minutes.
They should attack more often!!
Especially in a home game, Midland 20.
Are we playing deep, hoping to break on the counter?
If we do this against teams like Arsenal, it effectively turns it into a home game for them, and we will lose.
Does Al need to grow a pair with his squad and trust it, or change the squad?
