there does seem to be a fact here, players that have left like you have noted, don't seem to get injured as much and also for long periods of time.
not sure it's just fitness coaches, we have a weak team physically around the park so everybody tends to get knocked about more, no protection anywhere and our players are mostly small.
It's not the fitness coach, it's wenger's training routines/schedules and muscular imbalances
Wenger as head of the team needs to get grip and take this very seriously.
This has been going on too long and it comes to a point where loyalty has to step aside. Surely he realises that injuries have been a massive hinderance to his plans and chances of success. I have no idea who he takes his medical advice from but why take advice from people who have presided over a shocking injury hit period for years on end?
There needs to be a independent investigation, no idea what they did before but would it surprise any one, it was like a self audit with little external input. That is not healthy, and if you want a honest assessment you need to get an external help.
I know we hired the sole german into the team, but the problems are still here. We have to change something(s) because I still hear people talking about "IF injuries subside we can....", we've been saying that for years, things won't change themselves.
You can better your bottom dollar that if Cesc did come he would have been hit with several muscular injuries by now. He seems to have stayed mostly fit at Chelsea so far.

One of the reasons I wanted wenger gone, was to get rid of these medical staff.
What manager would come in and say, oh yes, I want to keep...the medical staff!!!

Arsenal have had injury crisises since 07/08, there is some very very wrong at this club and it still hasn't been addressed
Cesc had persistent hamstring issues at arsenal, leaves for barca...no problems, leaves for Chelsea..no problems.
He had/has a lot more quality players playing around him at those clubs. IMO Arsenal always expect too much of their individual players because they don't get the balance of the team right and as a consequence the more talented individuals get injured more. With respect to Henry, he had a better team around him and he was hard to catch LOL
"The age thing is not an issue for me at all," he told MUTV. "I'm almost convinced now I will play for many years to come at the highest level."
Van Persie quotes, no way would he at Arsenal ...
if you're saying we don't rotate enough I totally agree.
when we do try and rest players they're quickly called off the bench because the stand ins are so poor.
of course rotation definitely has it's part to play, our squad has always been fairly bare minimum in talent in that respect.
It's shocking stuff from Arsenal. Only club in Europe to have a consistently bad injury record. Mind Dortmund have a pretty bad one themselves last couple years but Arsenal's take the biscuit.
Something big needs changing at the club.
It is one or a combination of the following;
1)Poor training regime so players not properly fit .
2) The type of player which we tend to by. Many tend to be small and quite weak.
3) The pitch and training pitches which are a mix of grass and 3G . Grass tears when your studs get stuck in it . 3G does not. Could that be part of the problem with muscle injuries. Lack of give in the pitches.
4) Poor medical staff .Poor diagnosis , poor treatment and rehabilitation .
What Wenger should have done ages ago is to bring in outside consultants to instigate a thorough examination of what is going wrong. But he is far too complacent, arrogant and lazy.
The first thing a new manager will have to do is get to the bottom of this farce.
wenger like small and young players. They break easily
