Please, lets not carried away.
Gerrard is one of, if not the best player to have played for Liverpool.
The idea of Gerrard watching videos of Michael Carrick, has to be one of the most hilarious suggestions ever put forward on this forum.
Liverpool fans dont want Gerrard playing Carricks role, the whole point is during the winter of his career, Gerrard needs to playing further up the pitch, and influencing the forward line, rather than simply keeping the ball moving around from the back four, to the midfield.
Carrick is a grafter, but isnt in the same ball park as regards ability, compared to a player like Gerrard.
Carrick is a good player who has been wasted by England because we don't know what to do with players like him who are technical and play at their own pace.
He isn't the best English player around though.
