Short is sweet
Another cup tie for Town which does nothing for the fans of either club...maybe the draw should be seeded so you don't end up playing someone from the same league ?
Will CP use the tie to put our fringe and available players in the shop window...? Hammill, Ward, Gerrard, Gobern...and risk losing the tie..s'pose it's down to what Deano tells him to do.
I've no doubt Norwood will score at least one 35 yard screemer...as will Trevor Senior, who despite the fact he won't be playing, will still score ..he always did.
Am not happy about the pricing for this game, a senior paying at the gate is paying the same as for a normal league match, and the same as a normal adult ? What happened to the seniors concessions ?
why should the price go from £9 to £15 when an adult only goes from £12 to £15 ?
flipping Clibbens again, making a complete rrse of the pricing...
bah humbug
The way i see this one is the chance to get a bigger cash loaded tie the next round
Apparently the clubs budget never includes cup games so its a great opportunity to get some transfer cash just at the right time
We made 1m off the arsenal game so i would hope we are putting out a full strength team...no excuses
Putting dead wood in the shop window is not apropriate for this game
Trevor Senior, I remember him too, I was a young boy when he was a big thorn in Town's side. Any transfer rumours.?
Yes, I've got a spiderman transfer on my right right....... It was rumoured to be superman
I'm Bloody working tomorrow, so I can't go. Back to normality now. The tree is coming down too.
Transfer on my right right?
The January shop window is like a lot of expensive purchases where people regret making them and hope they can get something for them to buy something they actually want and need!
I reckon we will win, I know now Adkins has gone our luck might be out but I am an optimist!
Back at work today, only three of us in, no ones talking and its so quiet I think I can hear my braid slowly melting away!
Been so ridiculously busy over Christmas that I cant complain as its effectively a day off from looking after kids!!!
Kids tattoo, they used to be called transfers
First time in 8 years I've had time off over Christmas. I think I forgot to book today though so I went in over Christmas and wrote it on my bosses holiday board myself
I haven't worked since 2004...been blooming wonderful...just saying... ..
(well I did some temping work for 6 months when darn sarth...but that was 'voluntary'...)
Enjoy it jacko.
Gutted for one of the fellas I work with. He retires in 18 months, he's just bought a bungalow with his wife, and she died on new years Eve! Only 61. I'm devastated for him
I'm not saying you're gonna drop dead jacko , but just enjoy it. She was fit and healthy.
It is something I've seen with my friends, those that carried on working to 65...make all their plans for their 'retirement' and then 'stuff' happens...Loads of mates had hard jobs, physical work, and to expect them to now work beyond 68..69...is shocking. I see these guys, they're knackered and will spend all their remaining years in the WMC drinking and smoking..it's no life hydy..and I knew that at 54 I had had enough...there were other things I wanted to do...and I have, and will continue to.
Live each day to the full is the message, don't wait for some date in the future... This year I will be getting another campervan, and off to sunny climes...for long months.. I know I'm one of the lucky ones, but sometimes you just have make the decision and not wait for that 'big fat' pension you're hoping for...you can live on less..so take what you can and go do it

To touch on the last few comments. No one has a crystal ball, yes, plan for the future, but also keep an eye on today. All we can hope for, as we start a another new year, is for health, happiness and prosperity; I wish this for all my JA606 buddies!
As for the cup tie, I suppose the lads will have had an injection of confidence. Reading's form has nose dived, Town have just been inconsistent. Whoever turns up on the day to win, will win! I agree, Town need to turn out a full strength team, next round could bring a glamour tie.
I've haven't got a great feeling about this one, but I don't have a baaad feeling either!
A one all draw, with a classic replay to follow!
Happy new year folks!
I wasn't meant to bring the mood down folks. But doing my job, I agree with everything you say jacko. I see all ages. You're only here once.
We beat Reading away quite easily, but I don't think this game will be easy...to me Reading are like Charlton...and can be an awkward and annoying little club when they want.
LV has called it though, whoever wants it most will win...so hopefully CP will be getting his players fired up tomorrow
A mate is in his early 40s and had a brain hemorrhage and dropped dead in work. I totally agree you have to make the most of every day as sod knows when your last one would be....and I wouldn't want to know if you could!
I have just seen a group of gypsies giving a council official grief as they have finally blocked the road off round the back of my office, which the gypsies would come to and trash before leaving after their eviction notices have expired! Apparently he should feel ashamed that he is depriving them of their human rights (apparently they include the right to throw rubbish onto the street and turn the pavement over to your own personal use!)
The guy who lead the charge I personally witnessed using a plastic bag for a toilet last time there were here as apparently its better than a loo in a caravan!!!!!!!
Put them all in a caravan & apply for them to appear on brianiac ASAP !!!
Ey and their human rights not to pay any tax but still use the hospitals...tramps n thieves
Good onya jacko
I know this all too well...lost both mi parents to cancer early sixties...and our lasses sister is terminally ill with a second bout of cancer in 5 years..aged 40 with 2 young kids...she was given 3 months nearly 3 years ago but still battling..bless her
All the gypsies round here have new cars and trucks, none more than a year old. They are all road taxed and the police spend a lot of time checking them out but nothing comes of it. I believe there are companies where they pay a lump sum of cash to as part of an "upfront rental" agreement to get around the tax issue and they just change them every year.
Last time they were here the council sent the bin men every day to clean up after them, Cheshire East Council clearly are a soft touch!!!
Was listening to radio this morning and they reckon now cancer is not always a result of lifestyle choice or inherited genes, just something that happens when the natural cell replacement process goes wrong...
it's a tough one to take, and you can only feel for the family and friends left behind.
bought my tickets for tomorrow !
My son wants to go, so i've done the on line print at home jobbie... Will I ever see his money ? pah, he still owes me £10 from yonks ago, but he makes me feel guilty asking for it
soft touch, me ? definately
That's what parents are for jacko
One leading doctor yesterday claimed cancer was the best form of death! cos you can make plans etc, as apposed to dementia that just destroys you.
Doubt Lynda Bellingham agrees....................
Doubt millions would too.
