We generally don't sell in January and have no need to sell in January. It will take a crazy bid to take one of our players away and I can't see that happening this window.

We know what our best side is, we've been missing two of our best defenders, hardly coincidence we've struggled at the back.

Lustig is now fit again and Denny I believe is close, fs we went 8 games conceding 2 goals with them in the team.

Ambrose and Matthews come in and we lose 9 in 6 games.

It's a blip, every Celtic team has had them but we could be in a lot worse position in the season as a whole.

Your optimism is admirable but as always Celtic will prevail and Aberdeen and United will be fighting it out for the leftovers

How good is Armstrong Ivan?

He's very good. For me he is clearly the best footballer at the club, but the problem he often has is that he struggles to impose himself on games and sometimes disappears.

I do believe that he'd thrive playing alongside better players. Part of his problem at times is that he's ahead of the rest of the players in terms of making his runs and getting into areas.

He's got it all though, but it's about having the mental capability to go to the top now for him.

A lot of fans seem blinded by Ronny, which is a worry.

The football on show is horrific and to be behind in the league at this stage is a joke.

The league is only better because it's competitive. It's competitve because Celtic are dreadful, Aberdeen and United have now become less dreadful. The football is still rank!

Out of curiosity, how many Premiership matches do you actually watch?

If ronny has introduced this new fitness regime how come we aren't starting to pull away from the rest?

Surely we should be starting to pull away from everyone with our superior fitness.

I agree timmy, there is an arrogance amongst our support that assumes Celtic will just pull away and inevitably win the title by some distance.

I fail to see how some would arrive at such a conclusion...baffling

Let's get all this into perspective.

As I have said on another thread, as a Celtic fan, I wish we were 10 points clear - as a fan of Scottish Football, it is great that we have a 3 horse race.

Credit to Aberdeen & Dundee United - they have improved this season. They have good managers and some good players.

As for Celtic - like every other new manager in my lifetime (apart from the genius Jock and MON - the latter had many Sky millions to spend and even he was out of Europe by December) Ronny has had a challenging first 6 months. Will he make it? Time will tell and February will make or break him.

JABM - I see your last post was about how much better Everton would be if Naismith started - how did that one turn out?
