Welbeck or Falcao?

Put it this way. Once he is match fit, would you prefer to face a team with falcao or welbeck upfront?

Falcao is a great CF however, he needs games and he needs chances and we have created few for any of the CFs.

I quite agree, he is an excellent talent. Im not convinced united fans are going to properly see it in his time there though.

Falcao will cost a lot of money and I am not convinced we should spend that all on him but there are very few people like him in the world right now.

I initially was disappointed about Welbeck leaving but I am fine with it now.

Welbeck is shìt. This article is an insult to Falcao who is up there with Costa, Aguero and Harry Kane.

Falcao hasn't had a great time of it thus far for various reasons. But Welbeck hasn't exactly been banging them in for Arsenal and has never shown anything to suggest he's going to become a top centre forward. Couple that with his inability to create chances and I doubt that he'd have improved our fortunes this season.

Pretty bored of people hating on Falcao.

The price tag doesn't bother me, I'm not paying for him or his wages.
He has also just come back from a potential career ending injury, after a year out, adapting to a new league. People conveniently forget this.

He's also just played 5 on the bounce over a short period of time. That must be a massive boost for him.

Now, if our midfield can start supplying him with decent chances he'll start banging them in.

Or we could just have Danny Welbeck

But if the manager won't give him chances what are we to do?

What annoys me is that he plays Wilson, why? I would have preferred we kept Welbeck

to spend that much money based on what we have seen of Falcao, so far, is sheer madness. (And BTW some of us do pay his wages).

But when he's having a good game, he gets taken off...

Him and RvP need to be rotated - they are both better as lone strikers. Neither will excel if he keeps playing them together and rotating Wilson into the mix too.

I'd rather have Welbeck. He works harder than most people and presses like a maniac. The sad irony of him leaving is that he would be perfect as one of the '2' in a 352 alongside Rooney would have been one of our best striking partnerships for years. He has something our strikers don't currently have and that is pace.

He is a born and bred United supporter whereas Falcao is just here for the money and most likely won't even be here next season.

This isn't me saying that Welbeck is a better player than Falcao or that Welbeck should have been preferred over any signing out there. Just that out of the two, IMO Welbeck would have been the better option this season as Falcao needs world class service to even have a sniff of being back to his best whereas Welbeck would be the guy working hard up front to open space for the likes of Mata, Herrera and Rooney to work in.

I agree with Robb, and I said so at the time.

Welbeck may not score many but he hassles, and creates space for the more talented individuals. Also, he;s a great threat on the counter and in the air

Keep Welbeck!!! Oh dont maker laugh, ok on his day can be good, trouble is when's his next day due? I'm disappointed that Falcao hasn't had more game time and we dont seem to know if he's fully fit, but lets say if Welbeck was still at. utd i doubt very much he'd of had anymore game time Falcao

and this shouldnt be about whether Falcao should have been kept over welbeck.

you stick Falcao up front for city, Arsenal, Chelsea and even Liverpool and he would score goals for fun.

Why??

Because they create chances, something that we just cant do because of the way we are set up and the speed of our play.

the question shouldnt be "Welbeck or Falcao"
it should be is LVG the right man to be in charge.

Lets' be clear here, apart from rival fans, who really gives a toss about the money?

All I care about is the effort and quality of football.

Me and Donk are even agreeing that Falcao isn't a bad player. Just that he's in he wrong side, especially to prove in the one season he has that he deserves a permanent deal.
