Swap Eriksen & Ozil deals?

If you put both up for sale now. I can garantee Ozil would end up at the bigger club. He's still the better player out of the 2 overall. If you put eirksen it a big team he wouldn't stand out. Hes looking good now, but he's in an inferior team surrounded by poorer players. It's a bit like charlie Austin. Put him in real Madrid and he'll look utter dog shît. But at QPR he looks decent. I know Eriksen is better than Austin, but it's a similar sort of thing. Eriksen would look more out of place in Madrid or bayern than Ozil would

If Eriksen was at arsenal now he wouldn't stand out as much. People would see him in a rosicky level, and on a good day peaking toward the cazorla Ozil level. Which isn't an bad thing

Eriksen is undoubtedly a good player. But hasnt made the step up to the next level yet. I'm not saying he won't do that. But he's not there yet. You will be able to tell when he has, because Spurs will sell him straight to Madrid.

The Year of the Ox

So let's get this right, top scoring midfielder of the season in the supposedly best league in the world, who has scored countless winning goals for his club, and is aged just 22, has countless caps for his country has yet to step up to the next level.

Oh fine thanks for your input. Would that be the utter dog shiite in a Real Madrid shirt that CL winners Bale and Modric are after the left Spurs. Both of whom have contributed more than Ozil ever did for Madrid.

Your opinion is fecking clueless mate. WTF has Ozil ever done in the UK, to justify a fee of £42 million, he would not get anywhere near the Spurs bench on his current form.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

We all knew Erickson was a real potential, but nobody could have guessed that the bigger and more successful of the two (Özil) would have such a mediocre impact for the first season and a half.

With Sanchez threatening to take Özil's place for good, and with Özil back from injury just in time to get back in contention, I think we might see a revival in form.

On value along I'd definitely have taken Erickson if I'd known how things would be, but as much as I've hated Özil, I still like him and think he is genuinely the more complete player.

God some of you Arsenal fans are absolute pathetic. You just can't bare the thought that spurs have by far got the better deal and player to be fair in Eriksen than what has been an absolute flop in Ozil. If the roles were reversed us spurs fans would happily admit you got the better deal but Arsenal fans seem to live in this dream world. Ozil cost 4 x more than Eriksen. Are you trying to tell me Ozil is 4 x the player of Eriksen? Ozil has come to the prem and clearly struggled. He has never really imposed himself or dominated a game. He has never really been a match winner so far. Eriksen has been all that and more. He has won us games all by himself and been a huge part of our recent excellent form. Yes Eriksen had a slow start to the season but the last few months he is showing what an absolute quality player he is. Eriksen over Ozil all day long.

Yeh so inferior with lesser players that we are only a few points behind you Sometimes i think you Arsenal fans are living in this fantasy land where you have this dream that Arsenal are way above what they are. You have been battling with us for a top 4 place for the best part of 5 years. Not once have you properly substained or challenged the title in the long run so you have always been near us and beating us on the last day to 4th on more than 1 occasion. I think you need to come back down to earth "year of the ox" ....

They need a serious reality check, they are on the same level as Spurs now, and have been for a number of seasons, despite having a greater turnover, and CL footie every season. They have had a massive advantage for years now, and what have they got to show for it, one poxy trophy in 10 years.

"Same level"

Sandy, and this is my point. Guy below you laughing at your "same level" comment as if Arsenal ae finishing miles ahead of us each season near enough every season for the last 5 years or so Arsenal have just about scraped being above us and they seem to think they are this superior team it's f ucking ridiculous how they all seem to have the same mentality

If we are on the same level dont you think you would have finhshed above us at leart once in that period. You had your chance in 2011 when we went backwards massively by selling Nasri and Cesc then RVP and Song the next year but you never took it. Now you have dross like Mason, Bentaleb, Fazio, Rose, Walker among others making up your best 11 and you think we are on the same level. That freak Chelsea result has turned your lot into a deludedmouthy bunch. Put the pipe down!

Eriksen probably has the potential and talent to be one of the best. He is currently the main man at Spurs and rightly so, everything will go through him. That's his role in the team. He'll go from strength to strength

Ozil is an important cog in what was a well-oiled machine last year. The team was set up for him to thrive and he did until him & Ramsey got injured. He is not the kind of player like Gerrard or Rooney in their prime who would take a game by the scruff of the neck and bang in a 30 yard goal. He is, despite what journos say, absolutely essential to our team.

If we swapped the two?

I believe Eriksen would fit in well at Arsenal, wouldn't necessarily be the main man ala Sanchez but would be great to have in the hole, he is definitely a top-class player.

Personally I think Ozil would do great at Spurs, with the industry of Kane, Mason & Bentaleb behind him, he would have time and space to work his magic. Not too sure if your CMs do a lot of running in behind the defence but that's would be needed.

In short, both would thrive anyway if we swapped them
