Good news. I rate him. Unfortunate to be dropped on Saturday. Made one outstanding save against Milwall the other week.
We have to be wary of FFP. He obviously wants to be here. Let's give him a chance
I think he is a good keeper as well and none of the goals he has let him have been down to him recently. Glad he is staying. Darlow may be the better shot stopper but de vries has more leadership skills and commands his area better.
Both keepers are good, just glad we didn't lose both of them. Hopefully by the time de vries eventually leaves estimated will make the step up even though he needs at least another year or two out on loan yet.

Good news, and with Evtimov making progress while on loan I think we're OK keeper wise, what with the embargo and all.

DDV has impressed me over the last month or two. Looks more assured than Darlow who seems to have hit a bit of a wall in his development this season. Always likely to happen with a young player so can't be too critical.
As has been rightly pointed out, with FFP to consider I can't see many better options than DDV out there with the budget they are working too. Evtimov will hopefully continue his development and be ready to challenge in the near future.
This decusion to award a new contract puzzles a little when DF dropped him at the weekend, though?
Thank God he's signed. Otherwise we could've been losing two good keepers in the summer without any means to bring one in.
I seem to be in an ever decreasing minority but I think that Darlow is a solid keeper at this level BUT he hasn't been as reliable this season after being sold on. I thought DDV did well recently so disappointed he was dropped on Saturday.
To be honest some would have been doing their nut at the team selection then had it been SP in charge. Don't get me wrong I'm fully behind the manager but that was less than convincing and we rode our luck.
Against Millwall we hit the woodwork twice don't forget and Brighton did against us, one even bounced of Darlow after. Early days, but I'm still worried
I think Darlow is now dealing with a bit of expectation where there wasn't any last season. Ditto Lascelles. Possible that the manager who signed them for Newcastle is long gone too? They may be concerned that a new manager may not even give them a chance and they will be bounced around on loan.

That could work out ok for us. We could keep having them back
Except for the fact we couldn't pay their wages.
Yep, they won't be back here any time soon unless FFP is overturned.
Lascelles also has the court case, that could be affecting him
Yes, there must be a case to answer if it has gone up to the big house.

Sorry but completely disagree with that. I'm glad DDV has signed because we need a keeper next year and can't buy one. But he does not command his area and his leadership is terrible. He constantly looks terrified and doesn't talk to his defence. Darlow is better but is prone to silly mistakes and his head could elsewhere.
