Good observations, 2W.

Every Bournemouth fan we met on the bus back to town or in the pub afterwards suggested that the Rams were the best side they had seen all season.

Re Bent - who on earth says that he is lazy? The amount of ground he covered on Tuesday was incredible, covering, hassling defenders, making runs etc - he's like Tito in many respects except that Darren Bent is good.

2W - I wasn't there but you put it so eloquently.

I, to was puzzled by Howe's assertion that Bournemouth weren't at their best (frustration? petulance?) but they weren't at their best because Derby wouldn't let them be at their best...simples , sorry OOE, I mean OBVIOUS!

Re. Bent, I think a few Villa fans were saying it's like playing with 10 men and he's only good when the ball is in the box.

I think we'll miss Martin when defending set pieces though but hopefully have the option of hitting them for some pace, if Bent would have scored the volley from Hughes' lofted pass in the first half, my footballing w.nk bank would have been in credit till March

Think Eddie might have been doing that kidology thing, he knows they've played a very good team and to say they weren't at their best gives them the belief that they can take this league. Unless, of course the players know they were in a game and don't believe Eddie in which case it will backfire, their backbone will crumble and their season will fall apart leaving just us and Karankie's Bore's to duke it out.

That said a lot of respect for Bournemouth they commit players forward unlike those teams that try and pressure and hack and keep a conservative shape. Think that's what made it such an open game.

One other thing does anyone else feel Oscar is playing within himself he was taking the pi55 early on in the game with a a few dummies under pressure, it's difficult to see him playing further forward with Hendrick, Hughes and Bryson, but I would like to see what he could offer when relieved albeit temporarily from the holding MF role.

I personally think Derby are setup well to rethink total football in a post 'if you're level you're onside' world IMHO.
