Yes he is, clearly talented and has made impact in all his 5 minute cameos this season.
I called Coquelin, called Bellerin so might be wise to listen this time. We let Sanogo, Poldi & Joel go for a reason and that reason is Akpom.
He's has massive potential and it's time to start edging him towards that potential now. At least will give the opposition some unpredicatability to begin with and will always look to run off the shoulder which is key for us.
Giroud needs to be dropped and Chuba is the next best solution

None of those are good enough either. So might be good to keep quiet next time.

You never know until you give him a run of games .
Martial that had a good game for Monaco yesterday didn't become good overnight. He has been given a chance to to play.
I have a feeling that, Sanogoal will have a "future" here but not Akpom, if Wenger remains as our manager.
Why is Coq receiving stick from people on this board? If he had cost 30m and put in the same performances people here would be calling him world class.
Cackpom will make a good career in the championship like henri lansbury, he will never be good enough for arsenal, mark my words.
"..making an instant impact ala Harry Kane at Spurs."
------
And within this one line lays the fatal flaw in your argument.
Harry Kane, as any Spurs supporter will tell you, did not make an 'instant impact' for Tottenham. Far from it. In fact it was less than a year ago there were many that doubted he was even good enough for them - and this from a team containing Soldado and Addbayor.
Truth is that, at Arsenal, Akpom really would have to hit the ground running with the high expectations the supporters have of our players.
Integrating him at a slower pace is the right way forward for him.
Sorry, just read: "Berahino, Kane, Wickham, Sterling, Wilson, Lukaku have all coped fine when required to lead the line for their teams" and realised it was a WUM.
A poor WUM, but a WUM nonetheless.
Why did I think to take the OP seriously?

Completely agree. He's arguably been our best player since he's become a first-teamer.
And based on what I've seen, Akpom looks like a very talented player - hope to see him get more minutes.
Its unbelievable really! No one in the league is making more interceptions and more tackles and he is looking more and more confident on the ball yet he is still "not good enough"
Give the kid a chance! Else someone else will... and invariably, these things tend to bite us in the Arsenal!
