Arsene Wenger was in charge of Monaco for over seven years in the 1980s and 90s - but he has won none of his seven games against Monaco as manager (D4 L3).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought this is the first time he's managed against an old club?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He managed Nancy in France before he managed Monaco though, part of the h2h probably goes back to those days.
I think that Welbz just gets in Giroud's way when both are on the pitch or Giroud ends up going wide which is not where he should be playing.
do u think Ozil has 360 degree vision?
---------------------------
the eyes THE EYES
Did Welbeck start in the home game?
Not happy with midfield, cazorla in the pivot with coq? Welbz on the left doesnt do it for me. Where's Ramsey and Theo? Not much left for Ozil to work with.
Welbeck is not a wide player. No runners from midfield for Giroud to play one-twos, only santi slightly. Lets hope we are very clinical cause we ain't going to be fluent nor going to create a lot of chances.
Let's all relax. I also would have preferred Ransey as he has a goal threat from deep which could be crucial but maybe the boss sees something in this setup that could bear fruit
Cant see us doing it with that midfield.
I put a bet on a 3-0 arsenal win if right i get £513 quid

Exactly, I sure hope im wrong but looking at Monaco's lineup they will easily nullify this attack.
ffs how many ads does itv player need
This is the wrong game for Theo to be starting. Monaco wil sit with 11 behind the ball, leaving no space for him to run into
I had slight optimisn but with no Ramsey or Walcott, we now have no runners to run past their defence and make runs. Making runs makes space for others like Sanchez, Ozil and Cazorla.
This is the same team apart from Monreal for Gibbs that played the first leg. Apart from complacency and motivation, expect the same.
Ozil likes to play in the middle.
Santi likes to play in the middle.
Giroud likes to play in the middle.
Alexis was a flop at Barca playing wide but great playing in the middle.
Welbeck likes playing the middle.
Monaco's strengths in the middle. Lets just hope they all have a bad day.
Really not liking Welbeck starting tonight. Why isn't Walcott being unleashed??! His goal threat could have been a real weapon tonight!
Let the miracle commence....
Chill guys we're going through
Ladbroke Arsenal to qualify 6/1 bit optimistic?
Alright enough of the negative (thought we were optimistic before) LETS DO THIS!!!

I don't get this. The defence for any team lines up parallel to the box. Walcott makes runs in the box. So I don't see the space argument. Yes he can play counter attack. But Theo is far more effective when we have a lot of possession and are pushing up. Thats why he had such a good relationship with RVP and Giroud.
Arsenal are 18-1 to win 3-0 at my local bookkie
Lucky blue strip...well it worked at OT last week
Im predicting 3-1 and Arsenal win on penalties
