If he was looking at experience Hause has actually made more senior appearances in his career than EEL. EEL has only made two more appearances for Wolves than Hause, but as he made some of those last season, has featured less than Hause in the first team at Championship level. He has suffered the indignity of being hauled off at half time against Derby though.
I don't see why the fact he scored on his debut is relevant. Defenders are primarily on the pitch to defend and that should be the first thing we look at when selecting a centre half. Besides which, Stefan Maierhoffer scored on his debut, does that make him a superstar?
I hope if EEL comes into the team he convinces me otherwise. He will always get my support if he pulls on a Wolves shirt and as he is from our youth system I want to see him succeed. However, from what I have seen I remain unconvinced.
We all know your agenda against Stearman, so I won't bother discussing that with you.
I don't have an agenda against Stearman at all. I think he's a decent CB at this level and League 1. Where I differ, is in his ability to perform well at the top level. What's wrong with that, apart from it not being the same opinion as yours?
This thread is about who will be replacing Batth for the next few games. It's not about whether you think Stearman is good enough for the Premier League. Like I said, I am not discussing that with you again.
If you hadn't added that last small paragraph, I wouldn't have responded. Do you really expect me to let you get away with that remark?
Wolfie, I'm not sure why you continually comment that this or that player is not good enough for the Prem. As Tam says, we need the best defender for the next two games (hopefully, but unlikely to be more), we are not in the Prem.
Imo, we have quite a few players not good enough for the Prem and if we used that as a reason to pick a player for the next game, we would take the pitch with about 5 or 6 players.

If you hadn't had a dig at Stearman prior to that, I would never have had to tell you I didn't want to discuss it. You have an agenda. It's clear to everyone but you.
I have said that I would like to see Hause given a chance at centre back but let's not write off EEL because he had some dodgy games at the very early stages of his first team career. There are plenty of examples of players that we let go of in their early 20s that went on to have decent careers so if he is showing enough in the training ground to get another chance let's welcome that and support him.

What has Stearman's ability to play in the Premier League, whatever your viewpoint, got to do with being picked for matches in the Championship?
I have no qualms about him being picked for the Championship. What's your point Butey?

I was responding to your comment about "top level", which is irrelevant. If it isn't irrelevant, I'd be interested to know why.
Here's the comment you've forgotten:

Like I said Butey, I don't have a problem with Stearman playing at this level or being one of our CB's right now. But some on here would want him playing there when we go up. I don't and if we don't go up this season I feel he'll be gone when his contract is up next season and hopefully with that in mind he'll start to play one of our youngsters.
Tam. I've read this morning that according to KJ, Ebanks -Landell lost his place because of a hamstring problem
I don't care why he lost his place.
