And didn't Liverpool actually offer for Shaqiri but he chose Inter instead?

no, we were never in for shaquiri in january
we certainly never arranged a medical for him in the summer
the only reason Shaqiri didn't join Liverpool in the summer was Bayern didn't want to sell him to you, so a medical may have been arranged
If terms are agreed with a player then clubs will often arrange things like Medicals etc

Pirlo is still one of the very best passers of the ball in world football, probably better than anyone in the epl as it stands, but I just could not seem him in the hustle bustle of the prem. he'd have to be augmented by very energetic midfielders to do the grafting.
Still I can't think of many players that can put the ball on a six pence like him.

a personal favorite on the di marzio "inside track" was shaquiri having a medical at liverpool in the summer...mercato king you say??

He has some knowledge. He called Suso to AC Milan about three months before it happened. One of the more credible journos I think

No, he would just stop Allens growth, and he can become a much better player.

He barely moves. He'd be useless for us and in general in the Premier League.
and im sure that was the general consensus when we signed gary mac..he barely moved!
He won't be joining anyway so it's pretty irrelevant how he'd do in England
thanks for the confirmation and general concern...who confirmed this with you?

Why do people make such naive comparisons on this site? The two situations are completely different. We required McAllister to fill a hole in the site, a need for the team. He was the perfect fit, he certainly moved although I can forgive you for not knowing that as you would have been about eight years old when he joined.
For Pirlo to come into the team, he wouldn't be fitting into a hole, he would require a complete change to the system and players around him. He has worked in the slower paced Italian league but for the past few years he's been praised for some excellent passes but if you actually watch him in games, he doesn't do much, he would never keep up with the pace of our play, or the Premier League in general.
He got glowing reviews because of some very good passes against England and suddenly he was world class but for me his world class period had already passed.
This is an absolute nonsense link, pulled out of thin air.

We'll all get 'moist' at the mere thought of him coming to us and then he'll go elsewhere and BR will sit in his conference grinning, denying we were ever interested in him.
Just a little reminder:

Fred ffs pirlo is almost 36. Gerrard only 34. There is literally no fecking way we're signing pirlo
Pirlo has undoubted quality, but it wouldnt be a good signing for liverpool. 2 or 3 years ago, when he was already quite old, it could have been an ok move, but at his age now, the premier league would be too quick for his.
