I only care that a child is loved by their parents, gay or straight.

True Ath.

The polls have a huge yes majority.

The other vote concerns the age of our president which is 35 minimum just bow to be reduced to 21. Im thinking the public backlash against the government will be to reject this particular amendment.

I think the role of the biological mother and father is central, and have reservations about any form of surrogacy,I'm Not.

I would prefer folk adopted, but that is my personal opinion only.

I think atheism makes it easier to accept gay marriage as we do not need to ignore basic tenets of our belief systems. Wheels turn slowly, but they turn.
Go back thirty years and it would not have seemed possible Paisley and McGuiness could reconcile. Wheels turn slowly, but turn they do

Zach..paisley and McGuiness...traitor Bastirts. Where would we be if we all did that?

Zach, I never knew he was as close to mountbatten as he was "the grandfather I never had" I was impressed by him, as I was when the queen visited my city

I think Paisley knew he was nearing the autumn of his life, and wanted to leave some peace,as he had played a part in the troble,as did Marty, and that may have been the catalyst for progress.
Personally, they got on,and not many do,on that level.

McGuinness went to big Ian's funeral whereas many former unionist colleagues did not.

For me,civil partnerships provide gay equality and right's,zach, and marriage is a boring aul backward hetro trip.
As you say, wheels turn, and we have moved on,asnot long ago, society made being gay illegal.

Mad seeing Union flegs out in the republic, alongside the Irish fleg,so we are reconciling rightly.
Charlie had Mountbatten as a mentor, and godfather.

I remember that time well,as I was at school, when the 18 para's were killed at Warrenpoint.
I was planning to go to Dundalk to see Linfield play in 1979,but mum wisely said no...........and there was violence,as we were all tense.
