Rich,seems like a foundation is being built,but,
The proof is in the pudding,
On the pitch signings it what will tell the true story,
We wait,with baited breath.
Going to be a very interesting few weeks.
I feel excited... its dangerous to feel like this with LUFC.
Feeling very positive also. Toma or not, someone's
got their head on straight. My money's on MC stepping aside to let Pearson set things up. Pearson stated we would see stability quick. No kidding. If the two latest hires come true, more solid work.
The best appointment / signing Cellino will make this summer is Pearson.
the on-field signings will create a lot of interest, rosler must've discussed this with pearson already imo...I might be jumping the gun some what but the question put to him of where we'll finish seem to take him aback slightly but he gave a non committal answer in that a top ten finish would be a good season....anyone can say that so I wouldn't be surprised if we are in the top 6 end of next season...for the first time in years I feel optimistic about next season...we could have a very good season !
Harj, remember Uwe stated that in his mind, a key part of any club's success was setting realistic goals and expectations. Saying he'll be happy finishing 10th does just that, it gives his team and the club (and fans) a lot of room above that goal for gravy on top. As in, I bet his real goals are play offs at least. But, he's not letting the players know that, this early.
batty...or anyone else therefore taking the pressure off the club/players etc....
If he said we would finish top two he could look like a right tw&t
Picking up from where we are he's being realistic, also he's german not italien, maybe a cool head is what we need.
Yep harj. Agree este. He'd look a complete melon.
Colin was the complete opposite of Uwe. Colin came
in and we all knew his only goal was that record promotion. It was promo or nothing for his CV. As things
quickly unraveled on the pitch, so it did everywhere else. Expectations not managed realistically out the gate.
Harj exactly,as mourinho does at chelksi, take the flak himself, easier on the players
Batty,true,largemouth colin,
Feckin pc place this is
I must admit I am looking forward to this 'heavy metal' football...and to be fair the germans have always had good footballing sides including the national side...and he hates playing the long ball...
I've been a fan of the German game since '74 World Cup. Them and the Dutch were amazing. Technically,
they were so much better than other Euros for a while.
Once they went belly up and reinvented their game, they've been unreal. They were so far ahead of everyone else in Brazil. And their club game is as good as any, when you factor in fans and financials.
Bring on the heavy metal. It's about time we rocked.
So lads heavy metal eleven?
Start at the back
Keeper,joey jordison,slipnot,
CBs lemmy,motorhead,shane embury,naplam death.
Over to yous.
Can we have German ticket prices aswell? They're at least 50% cheaper than ours!
German efficiency and quality is needed.
On the playing side, in the running of the club and in the beers sold...!
Will the fans need to put towels on their seats early.
When does all the transfer action kick in ?
Could be a very interesting month ahead giving a big indication of where we are heading.
Date is 01 July. However:
Although, in England, the transfer window formally opens on 1 July, transfers between clubs in the same association can take place as soon as the last competitive fixtures for the season have been played. However, many transfers will not be completed until 1 July because many players' contracts expire on 30 June.
Stoopo. Thanks for the info.
Its just a waiting game for now.
