They are only defending him because he is a great player. If this was some average joe player we were talking about it would be different.

If it had been some Liverpool fringe player worth a few million quid, the club would have sacked him on spot.
Morals quickly go out of the window though in football, and in life too to be fair, when it's something or somebody that people will miss. Sad really.
Can't really just blame Liverpool for that either. Many other clubs would defend their best assets over others.
They way they turned on Itandje shows you how fickle they are.
A club, name escapes me now immediately suspended players who had been charged with a similar offence and promised to de-register them if found guilty.
It was truly a shameful moment in their history
Wouldn't be there first or most shameful episode in their history ! Never their fault...
