FSG will never meet his wage demands. No chance.

And so they bloody shouldn't! It's just over a quarter of a million pounds a week for god's sake!

Who needs Falcao when you have Danny Ings?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that the Danny Ings that easily out performed Falcao last season?
-----
Scoring goals for a relegation team when being the main man is one thing. The pressure is less to perform.

Sure Falcao had a poor season but he's been playing in a much higher class than Ings for his entire career.

I'd prefer to see proven players brought in who can take the pressure and expectation that comes with playing for Liverpool.
------------------------------
Did you see him last season???

He was shocking and he'd cost an absolute fortune for little return. You want Falcao because of his name! What he did at other clubs! Because he'd cost a lot of money!

I suppose Falcao is proven. Proven to be abysmal in the premier league...

The Falcao of 2/3 years ago is the calibre of player we should be targeting if we genuinely want top 4, rather than playing it safe with average freebies.

When the Falcao of 2/3 years ago left Madrid he did so for money!

He's a mercenary was then and still is now, I want hungry players that want to play for the club and to win. Not to pick up £300k a week!

Looks past his best, massive wages, worry with injuries. No thanks, chelsea can have this one.

How about this? We focus on spending money on two big players and sign players in lesser needed positions (or back up players) on freebies and on the cheap.

I genuinely think that's the direction we're taking this summer. Why spend money on somebody like Delph when Milner is free, same with Ings rather than Austin say.

He had his chance last season so no I wouldn't go back for him even if he was remotely interestedm . Which I don't think he is to be honest

I'd say it's a lot bloody harder to score goals for Burnley than United ARE.

Not from the Bench.

Well he wasn't on the bench because of his red hot form was he?

Falcao is just another Torres, he just hasn't quite reached the point where everyone has realised he's finished yet.

They both play against the same opposition, it's irrelevant who you play for. For 250k a week he should be good enough to start when fit, no excuses. I can't believe you're even trying to debate it. Anyone would think you were arguing for the sake of it.....

It's irrelevant? Of course its relevant. Ings didn't score for like 10 games,if he was a Utd, he'd probably get less playing time than Falcao.

The opposition is the same, but chances are United will create more chances for a centre forward than Burnley.

Ings scored 0.33 per 90 mins.

Falcao scored 0.28 per 90 mins.

Man Utd scored 62 goals, Burnley scored only 28.

I think it's clear who had the better season and represents better value for money.

I'm not saying Falcao had a good season,I'm not saying Ings isn't better value. But I'd much rather go into the season with Falcao leading the line than Ings.

posted on 13/6/15

But that's from the assumption that Falcao would get back to a previous level, a level he hasn't been at for over 2 years.

His last great season was 2012-13.

That's a long time ago in football.

It is easier to score goals for United than it is Burnley, but it is a different kind of challenge scoring for United. Ings would have rarely (in the prem anyway) come up against packed defences with 10 or 11 men behind the ball. A Liverpool striker will experience the premiership much more like a United striker than a Burnley one.

That said I'd probably just about go for Ings over Falcao (just taking next season into account and ignoring the financial difference) taking everything into account, ings all day long!
