Is it a freebie?
Hopefully will be a good signing, he was half decent a while back. Good to see someone come in anyway ...
Sorry read the link; yes it's a freebie.
Surely won't be long before he breaks his leg and he's in the treatment room with all the other CBs ....
Hoons! How's family life?
Like what the other red poster's have been saying on other threads - what can you do under this embargo? You have to take what you can and that includes the risks. We'll see how it all pans out....
We haven't got a choice but loans, swaps and freebies at the moment

Unbeilievably awesome thanks mate ... she's 8 months old now, and I've enjoyed every second
First words were Da Da Da of course
Obviously she is a massive fan of the Neue Deutsche Fröhlichkeit movement and, in particular, German Band TRIO, then.
he's one of those players that gives 110% but you need someone alongside him who will shout at him non stop and tell him where he should actually be postitioned or he is an accident waiting to happen.
If he stays injury free then you/'ve bagged a decent player.
i'd have been happy for him to stay on with us but we can't afford a 10p sweet at the moment
I'm quite happy with this one. He and DF know each other well from their Bolton Wanderer's days. I think a combination of him and Hobbs/Mancienne would work well. Is a threat from set pieces which could be a great help as goals from the back seemed to dry up last season.

Same reason they never released the retained list. Didn't want to let rivals know what positions they'd e looking to fill. Having said that, it was obvious Forest needed a centre half with Lascelles leaving.
Matt Mills? Deary me! lol Good luck haha HOOOOOOF
At least we haven't paid £5.5 million for him and 30k a week like some club not too far away.
Mills is a poor signing at this level. Reading saw us coming a mile away and we paid a ridiculous fee for him. Only really plays well when he's on Sky, aside from that one of the worst defenders I've seen in the championship and Reading weren't sorry to see him go.
Freedman must be desperate or completely stupid....
I think he's being signed as a squad player, as we have at least 3 players in front of him for the central defensive role. I expect he'll be wanting to prove a point too.
Decent squad player despite what some bitter Foxes might think.
He's a warrior, good in the air at set pieces so will get a goal or 2. His default is to hoof it. You could tell at bolton he had been coached not to do that but he still hoofed it anyway but not as often as he used to do. He has no pace, can't turn. He was boltons best centre back though. Even though he was on big bucks(25k a week) i don't think he was offered a deal which surprised me especially as forest can only pay £10k a week. Mills has said the chance to work with freedman again was the draw to joining forest. This is the same freedman who was trying to send mills out on loan when he first joined bolton but couldn't find any takers. He will be a decent signing for forest on a free overall.
Bitter? You're absolutely right, he was garbage for us. If he was any good I'd have no problem in telling you and saying you'd got a decent signing. A waste of £10k in my view, I'm certainly not bitter he's ended up at Forest...
Conflicting views from supporters of two of his former clubs then - either he's a combative and gutsy (albeit slightly wayward and hoof-minded) fully committed player with an aerial threat, or he’s a complete duffer and a waste of 10K .
We have four experienced CBs, two who will attack the ball, two who prefer to wait and see. Mancienne and Hobbs should be the first choice pairing, Wilson will deputise for MM, Mills for Hobbs. Sorted.
Riera is also coming along nicely.
He got himself sent off when Bolton visited, so it's a good job Dougie knows him……...
Mancienne and Hobbs for me too. Riera sounds like he has settled well and may be pushing hard for a place next season. He could be a surprise package. Mills seems to be a decent acquisition on a small wage. No surprise that Mills struggled in Sven'a Fester team. He certainly wasn't the only player who flattered to deceive in that team as I recall.

Are you sure BS, given your obvious love and obsession with all things Forest?
Are you pleased about the Lennon rumours?
Lennon could be out of the frying pan and into the fire following Pearson!
Caniggia, it's true I'm Forest obsessed which is why I only want the best for Dougie
Lennon would be a shocking appointment but sadly not surprising.....although reports are we're after Hiddink!
