I'd take two big money CBs.
Evans out, two in. Makes sense to me
No more need for McNair and Blackett yet, like last season.
vG surpassed my expectations in the market last year. Let's hope she does the same this year.
We didn't sign anyone in Jan did we? Can't remember.
If we were to buy 2 CBs I'd say sell Evans and loan out McNair and Blackett.
^ or just Blackett given our injury record.
If we sign Otamendi, then we have 2 solid partnerships to build.

Would love both but think it'll be one or the other. Still cant see Ramos leaving Real so Otamendi is a very good plan B
Might be similar scenario with Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger. Plan A is the German and Plan B is the frenchman, which is why its taking its time as maybe United still feel there is a small hope with Bastian.
Said a while ago I expected Otamendi to join. We have been after him for months. Evans will go leaving us then with Smalling/Otamendi Jones/Rojo with Blind,Carrick,Darmian,McNair who can all play CB if real emergency.
A while back I said these players would leave:
Amos, Lindegaard, Cleverley, Nani, Henriquez, Thorpe, Evans, Powell, Hernandez, RVP, Rafael and possibly Di Maria
It's now looking likely that most of these will. I said something similar last summer about a long list of players. Quite a few people said no way would so many players go but it's part II of the cull and just shows how much change was required when LVG came in.
We are still in transition I feel, even this coming season despite probably having spent £350m+ by the time the season starts in the last couple of years

Without reading anyone else's comments or the link, my thoughts are that it is the Daily Mirror.
Not just you MUDd.
I have always thought he was over rated for Real.
But the two things he does have that none of our current CB's have is experience and leadership.
So, I am not fussed either way.
Not fussed on Ramos either - maybe as a right back but a liability with his discplnary record so would miss aot of games. We need a good leader at CB who is not injury prone, or a cert for 3 Red cards a season.
Answers on a postcard please............
