I was thinking of starting a thread on it yesterday but didn't see the point as he has not been a realistic target all summer. Just glad he didn't end up at Blackburn. Latest rumour is £1m bid from qpr for ream. If this is true then this is a real test where the club currently stands. If they do take the money and leave just one fit senior centre back available for Saturday then it will be obvious the club is being run into the ground.
We could get a good pacy centre back for £1m
£1million pound Ream offer has been rejected.
We may have to play the finances a bit but there is no fire sale for decent players * unlike the circumstances which led to Colin Todd's departure.
* (= that have more than a year on the contract anyway)
Don't speak to soon TMP if not this time there will be another transfer window along before you know it
As long as we don't reject money then he walks for nothing at the end of his contract.
1 If the Leopard doesn't change it's spots you know it will be a free exit
2 There is always the possibility the spots have changed and the plan is to build the new team up with plenty of young talent and flog them all in the January sales.
Which will be ? Press button 1 for option B and press button 2 for option A.
£1m is derisory. James Chester went from hull to wba for £8m. Pay the going rate fernandes.
Sorry that took while to sink in
The mirror is linking Bolton with Nolan again. Also mentioned on talksport this morning too. Could be a goer.
Surely no one at Bolton, bar Spearing is on over £10,000 a week. Why would Nolan on probably 6 times that come to us?
The later news bulletin added that wages could be a problem.
Plenty of other championship clubs will gazump us on this. Not worth a second thought really. It's also one area we don't need players. Attackers with pace and an eye for a goal.
Ream is a tough one. Get £3m, and I would sell.
We let too many contracts go to nothing, and I think we need to build the squad.
Still fuming at not getting ALF.
