All of them combined cost less than Martial

Nowadays £7M is pretty much a pittance.

Can you buy players for £3M anymore?

some teenager just cost 36M.

Are we not expecting the lazar to beam back ?

I agree Lazar needed regular games. He did show the odd touch of skill last year and needs to do it on a more consistent basis so hopefully a good run of games will do this.
Only problem is I don't think Turkey is a strong enough league for him.

How much was gomez? £3.5M i think?

Chelsea sent 32 players on loan. How much would that be on loan fees? anything from 25m to 35m. We are trying to do that same on a smaller scale.

You got me ^

My point is that £7M is not too bad

Lazar needs to at least get another try though...

I think this summer we have been much wiser with our spending and overall we have had a good window.

8m for a young player in the current climate really isn't a risky investment because the player will retain the bulk of their value.

Markovic looks like an overspend though, but you can't rule him out doing the business in Turkey and increasing his market value again.

I would much rather go down the path of investing in youth rather than spending millions on players in their late twenties who's resale value drops dramatically.
