I cannot believe the nonsense that gets spouted on here sometimes. Three games ago everyone was was full of optimism and really talking up the players, and now everybody knew they were all awful all along.

Idiots and kneejerkers.

Liverpool have had a bit of a poor run but they are still in a European competition, have a real chance in the league cup and FA cup, and are 5 points of a champions league spot..in December. Liverpool have a good manager and a decent squad. A couple of wins (which will come) and everything will look rosy again. The teams above have been inconsistent too, and there is every reason to think this could become a positive season. Get some perspective.

Did Klopp and the players do their hand-holding thank you to the Liverpool fans at the end of the game today?

Thanks Term for copying my thread I know the players list didn't come up like it did in the preview. Wanted to have the players ages and contract details in so people could have a look.

Am I the only one that actually likes Sakho? He was the only defender today and was everywhere. When he gets the ball he plays forward passes and gets the team moving forward rather then always side to side passes. Grant it he does have mad moments. Although he wins so many headers and out muscles defenders (unlike Skrtel)

Firmino we have to give time to prove that he can cut it in the premier league. If by this time next year he still hasn't produced goals or great attacking play then he should be sold in summer 2017.

I don't really see the fuss with Sakho. Plays forward passes and has funny hair. I don't see much more than that.

Sorry, I genuinely didn't see yours

I think Sakho's a decent player. Just depends who's next to him. Skrtel can't be the most reassuring presence.....

I think sakho has potential , but he was truly awful today . Needs to learn to keep it simple .

I just think he tried to take too much responsibility and it all got a bit much for him. Generally he's pretty steady.

Get rid of Lucas? Why?! He's the only DM we have and I think that he's excellent. What we really need is someone in defence that's reliable and a good passing midfielder who can split defences. Possibly a winger and goalkeeper too. Lallana and Moreno receive a lot of unwarranted hate I think. Skrtel was the main weakness today and when he went off Sakho just exploded.

Today proved how much we need Mig

posted on 20/12/15

Bogdan cost us the match ultimately

We really need a centreforward considering Studge will never be fit again

Playing 3 mids up top just isn't going to work

posted on 20/12/15

Very harsh to pick on Bogdan. He made an error which he redeemed only for ref not to see the ball was kicked out of his hand.

He did make one more error after that with a weak punch which hit Lucas in the face but after that he was assured and no worse than Mig. Made a couple of top saves.

Not his fault that we were 2nd best in every other department all over the field.

the goal shouldn't have counted

but had he caught it first time it would have been a non-issue

I'd have fancied mig's chances with the second goal as well, it was a slow scuffed shot. He didn't react to it well

In fairness to Bogdan, he was covering his near post, which was where the shot was probably supposed to go! It was then scuffed through Skrtels legs which made it very difficult for the keeper. IMO the blame is Skrtels. Allowed himself to get outmuscled and shouldn't of let the striker get his shot in.

2nd goal was simply a good finish from an in form striker after he bullied Skrtel. The best thing Klopp could do now is to continue with Bogdan.

What we lacked was a good leader. When ref makes a mistake like he did for the first goal I want my skipper in his face like a Carra or Gerrard would have done. Henderson just shrugged his shoulder and accepted the decision. It's never too late to change a decision.

I think where we're at is we can do well without bad luck. we do have good players.

but if the rub of the green goes against us, it's good night vienna.

The substitute for Mingolet was not exactly spectacular today. Maybe Klopp screwed up on this?

It's a big learning curve for Klopp and after the initial bump in performance levels it's now going to a series of good and bad for the rest of this season id say. Maybe we can get a bit more consistent in the second half of the season.

I'm happy to let this season just play out as it does, I'm not expecting anything from it so any things s bonus, league cup would be nice.

Klopps learning about the league, his squad, how different managers approach games on the go, there is just so many games that he can't just implement new ideas to the squad and expect instant results.

Doesnt matter where we finish really as long as Klopp uses this season to find out what he needs to about the squad and the premier league

Ridiculous. When have you EVER seen a ref change his mind cos players shout at him?

I've pretty much written off another season, but that's probably just cos I'm annoyed at how bad we have been for the last few games. However, I think we have the best manager we've had since the 80's and he needs to be allowed to do things however he wants. Any of the players he doesn't see fitting in, get rid, and let him get in who he wants if we can. He has to have the full trust and backing of the board, and I'd like to think they know that.

You are paying Milner well over £100K a week so good luck getting rid

posted on 21/12/15

I can't believe people want rid of Milner!

He has his limitations, especially at CM, but he wouldn't have got rolled over as easily yesterday as some other did that's for sure.

Overall though I don't know why people are so surprised. This season is littered with shocks from lots of teams. Watford are one point off top four and in those two strikers they have form, power, energy and pace causing lots of teams problems not just our own.

I surprised people are so worked up tbh.

posted on 21/12/15

Of course people are worked up!

We are 14 points behind Leicester. We are 9th. We have a negative goal difference. We've won only 1 more game than Chelsea. The performances are dreadful. We look like 11 strangers on the park sent out with no game plan.

This season looked likely to offer a great chance for top 4. We are doing everything we can to throw it away
