That's a shame. He's a cart horse 🐴.
Whys there not a joint thread?
Genuine question. With the winding up petition, do you think the club will survive. The debt is very high, has the club explained to the supporters what their plans are?
It's a sad situation when any football club 'flies too close to the sun'. Huddersfield Town came close to folding, it's a horrible experience.
There has been interest in buying the club but despite the 'debt' being written off by the owner no one seems to have the money needed at the moment. The immediate problem is to find £1m to pay the tax bill and another £1m to pay the players in January. The owner won't pay that bill, its unclear if its won't or can't. My guess is won't. There will be a new owner but not before players are sold off, or more bits of the ground or land the club owns is sold off.
Is it true Pne are buying your training ground?
Very much doubt that one. Maybe they can afford to lease it, not buy it.
Bent, I suppose the main thing is getting the tax bill paid off. HMRC are no longer being too lenient with football clubs. Hence, the threat of closing the club down. How has the owner settled the others debts, weren't Bolton around £100M in debt? Maybe I'm thinking of another club?
I hope we beat you today, then I hope you turn things around and crack on.
Town’s team vs Bolton Wanderers:
1. Jed Steer
2. Tommy Smith
5. Mark Hudson (c)
6. Jonathan Hogg
7. Sean Scannell
16. Emyr Huws
17. Harry Bunn
18. Joe Lolley
21. Nahki Wells
25. Ben Chilwell
33. Joel Lynch
Substitutes:
Joe Murphy, Jason Davidson, Jamie Paterson, Mustapha Carayol, Ishmael Miller, Martin Cranie, Kyle Dempsey
Bum Steer on loan for the rest of the season, plus we'll hopefully be playing his parent side next season.
Bolton unchanged. 1st departure of the transfer window as lawrie wilson leaves on a months loan. Every little helps.
