I only found out about this over the weekend and I was nearly in tears reading about it.
This is on a par with having a picture of Her Majesty in the Ibrox dressing room.

I fail to see what is wrong with such a tradition , Rangers are a British club, based in Britain and once a year they toast the health of the leader of the State ! Where,s the problem ?

What I don't understand is why you don't play against Stoke on a regular basis to commemorate it and, more importantly, why you insist directors from other clubs join in. It would be extremely bad manners not to participate but I'm sure there are republicans (and not of the Irish variety) among the directors of other clubs, and it's particularly relevant since your first footers on many occasions would be Celtic.

Smid, from my further reading it seems that the Celtic directors have turned up every year but haven't necessarily participated in singing GSTQ.
I think it would be poor form to turn down the invitation to attend to be honest.
