Tottenham are in better form than Arsenal and that's all you can say about that.

I suspect Arsenal's form will improve when players come back and stay injury free.

Its a mental thing with Arsenal

Something they have to break against Chelsea by winning on Sunday

Given our recent history, it's not likely we'll stay "injury free".

They will probably get top four but I can't see them maintaining the intensity they play at for the entire season. Plus they have the Europa league. They've drawn a lot of games there seems to be a lack of creativity there in some games where teams have just satback they lack real craft Ericksen seems to have been a bit of a disappointment this season.

ypical sheriff post, absolutely lauding over one of our average rivals whilst slating the team he apparently supports

If they're average, we look less than average at the moment then. You only have to watch the dross served up at Stoke last week - a team Leicester just tore to shreds. Keep up the denial though.

The same stoke that tore united and city to shreds at the brittanica. You are an inconsistewnt imbecile Sheriff and we are getting tired of your waffle disguised in carefully selected excerpts that only poaint the picture you want us to see.

Leicester played at home. We played away. We always beat stoke at home.
And we looked less than our best since our 3 most creative players were out.
Reactionary stuff as usual

Arsenal are 'comfortably' better than spurs, four or five key players out and still 'comfortably' above them. Spurs are probably playing at their upper limit. Fair play to them. But to suggest they are in the title race is delusional. It's city arsenal and most likely Leicester. Bookmark

Dic!

Can't think of a better word to describe the OP.

In a lot of Arsenals games this season they have not looked to be in control of games, even when Coquelin was in the team the midfield was still getting over ran sometimes. It really is the break away counter attacking strength that you have that has got you out of trouble in games this season or a set piece.

Glad you have admitted this sherif as I was about to come on and take the pi** out of you. Dele Ali has proven this season to be an absolute top class player. 19 years of age and bossing it. Spurs won't win the title but we are In the race

I'm not sure what is inconsistent about stating we were dross at Stoke, despite the fact they were garbage. And I only referred to it because its our most recent game among several dross performances. You're getting tired of my one post a week waffle to interrupt your echo chamber? You must be awfully precious and sensitive.

They're 5 points behind Leicester, so as it stands, they have to be considered as title challengers. That may all change as the season unravels, but currently, they have to be taken seriously.

posted on 23/1/16

So, in summary, the team team 2 points behind us is not in the title race, but we are while playing worse football? Okay then?

Most arsenal fans on here are replying with dignity but you still have some right arrogant bitter muppets on here. Calling spurs " average" ... I'm almost certain some of you don't actually believe what you type because you clearly haven't watched spurs if you think we are average. We pretty much boss every game we play

That's not just the case with Arsenal that's a trend with most teams in the league there are more teams winning with 40% possession or less. When you've got the speed of the likes of Sanchez and Walcott and the delivery of Ozil that's all you need. Wenger is finally realizing this after years of having loads of possession and not doing anything with it.

we are playing bad because of injuries, we are lucky to be on top with the absentees we have in the team tbh, but we still shouldn't have drawn to Liverpool though

Spurs are the better side to watch at the minute

In their current position, Spurs are definitely in with a chance. Not sure how they'd cope with their squad being stretched though, but they have acquired an ability to keep their main players fit which could work in their favour. Its also quite difficult to find a fixture that you can bank on them losing, as on their day, they can pretty much beat anyone else in the league. Only time will tell.

Of course they are. Don't think they'll win it, but they're up there for now.

"Not going to win it but they're in the title race"

I find that statement a little odd. If you're never going to win it then you're not in the title race. I hope like their fans, the players never get any belief that they could actually win it. With that additional mental boost, they might actually become a real handful.

Spurs are in it for me and also have a great chance of winning it in my opinion. This wont change until they drop off and a considerable points gap seperates them from the leaders.

We need players back and quickly, otherwise we will not open up a gap at the top.

They have certainly been very impressive this season. That cannot be denied. The real title contenders will come through in March. They're up there, so if Leicester are, they have to be as well.

In reality, if Aguero stays fit, City really should walk it from here

posted on 23/1/16

We can put ourselves in a good position with a win tomorrow.
To be fair that is all we can focus on. Manchester City, Leicester and Spurs are all putting points on the table, but if we put a strong run together starting tomorrow then we will not have much to worry about.

posted on 23/1/16

Considering how bad out recent away form has been we have some seriously tough away fixtures coming up

posted on 23/1/16

But a lot of players coming back.
