Your girlfriend telling you off again?
*I don't have this problem with Chrome's incognito mode.
It's not every time, but I check there now and then and there's often one there..
The site like almost all sites needs cookies to operate. Incognito or private just means they disappear when you close your browser.
Mine don't always though
They are meant to, but sometimes after I close down I have a look and it's there.

It doesn't matter particularly, but recently Firefox Private changed and said it now deletes cookies.

That is almost certainly from a non private session. If you ever tick "remember me" then you will have a cookie.

It will delete cookies that were created during private browsing.
OK, cheers for quelling my curiosities oh great leader
There was a article I read where avg messed up private browsing. But can't fully remember the details. Think there was a court case.
Ah right... my work pc has AVG. Maybe that's something to do with it. Perhaps if it runs a scan whilst I have a private session open it may store the cookies?
The cookies alert box that appears for me has made it incredibly difficult continue contributing here
It's annoying, but I've learnt to ignore it. At first I was very uncomfortable with its presence.

You just click OK and it goes away. For 365 days provided you aren't running a private session. There is almost no reason not to press OK as by using the site regardless, you need to use cookies. There was an EU law requiring the cookie alaert since 2011, but earlier last year google made it mandatory for all sites who use any google products.
This is more exciting than our transfer window has been

But even with private there is no reason not to press OK if you are planning to use the site. As it will create cookies either way. With private they get deleted when you close the browser.
OK, might just have to stop using the site tbf.

It is impossible to log into ja606 or ANY site without a cookie, otherwise how would we know if you were logged in and what user you were.

Not a big deal, I just wondered if it was an issue your end.
