Spurs Winning The Title = Wenger Departure

Problem is that the board is so far up wengers backside that Spurs winning the league will have little affect on wenger.

He will still be here next season

Can't see Spurs winning the league with their fixtures, we should finish above them pretty easily.

Doubt Kroenke even knows who Spurs are, he probably won't give a $hit who wins the league, as long as Arsenal finish in the top 4 he won't care.

And this article says enough about where Wenger stands:

Wenger will be here again next season regardless of who wins the league.

Its hilarious all of a sudden we are being linked to everyone. It's as if whenever wenger is under pressure the spin doctors from the club start to work their mojo

Even if Leicester win it Wenger should resign.

Scratch that - even if Arsenal somehow win it wenger should still resign

Everyone knows Arsene will stay this summer.

As long as he avoids a relegation fight next season he will also get a contract extension to take us into 2019.

Whatever AW should or shouldn't do, regardless of personal opinion, I don't see the point of these endless articles debating the merits and permutations of him staying or going - when AW has no intention of stepping down.

Proper original article this, not seen it before

It was hypothetical I know there's not much that will force Wenger's departure but I think a Spurs title win will push fans over the edge.

If The Emirates atmosphere became really toxic and tiresome every game with banners etc... Wenger may grow tired eventually.

Think we are the people that can influence his departure as the board won't. A Spurs title win would be helpful to getting more people onside.

The numbers were improving but over the International break these rumours have fooled many again and I see them posting their 'next season XI's' as if they've forgotten this shambles of a season we're currently in

Yep fans are once again being fooled by the ridiculous rumours on who we may buy in the summer.

The amount of "green light given" headlines in the press is hilarious

It's a sad state of affairs when someone reaches the point, and is so desperate for change, that they would actively endorse a rival (Spurs ) winning the league to achieve change.

Yes, it is time for change but sometimes I really despair about the mentality of our fan base.

Why? If that's the only way I'd take it every time.

A new manager would soften the blow in the hope that we'll come back stronger.

With Wenger in charge there's no hope at all. Even this season's race he is dragging it out, a top manager would be flying away with this year's title.

If that's what it takes then COYS!!!!

OK so your wish is granted, Wenger is sacked, do we go down the Tottenham route, ten different managers in almost has many years,or the United route looks like three managers in four years, all to no avail regarding wortwhile trophies, this season has been the most different on so many levels, next year normal service to be resumed.

Wenger must go. No arguments, no debate. Just go !

This season isn't different at all. It's exactly the same. Playing for 3rd/4th place as usual.

Wenger OUT!

Except for Arsenal where it's practically the same as usual, don't see why next season is going to be any different for Arsenal with the current regime - 3rd/4th, miles off the league leaders and a last 16 knockout in the CL. On a good year we might win the FA cup but that's as good as it gets, even if so much more could be achieved.

Despite an inordinate length of angry emoji’s, it amusing that there are some who are more preoccupied in getting rid of AW, than showing any support (at least on here) for the team.

And who do you think will be in charge when we start achieving this trophy winning bonanza.

Not expecting a trophy bonanza, I'm expecting a proper title challenge and actually becoming semi-competitive in the CL, instead of this money spinning nothingness which only accountants, businessmen and bankers could take any real joy from.

By the way, I don't support the OP's views. Spurs winning the league will never be a good thing, plus it won't affect any decisions made at Arsenal so just forget it, if it isn't Arsenal then please lord make it Leicester.
