I think it would have been the right move to start playing the young players earlier as although there were a few false dawns United were relegated months ago.
Hearts took advantage of exactly that situation so their team was already rebuilt and settled before they were relegated. Of course in Hearts case they had a points deduction which meant the fans would except sacrificing the league to rebuild so definitely would not have been an easy sell
SPR, agree. We've stuck with the same players that have let us down week after week. Sadly Mixu's signings made it difficult for the young boys to come through too and he was always going to stick with them.
One thing you were right about the other day though was that in the championship fast, attacking, passing football is the way to do well in the championship.
If the people in charge of your club has recognized that then you are in for an exciting season.
on the plus side, you will probably win more games next season, so thats good.
Thanks Keny. You really know how to make me feel better.

Breed your own team ? Keep it in the family
esc - and I've read stories over the last few years that Killie were on the verge of going bust, that Motherwell were about to go into admin and that a certain Glasgow club from Govan were about to go into admin again and again.
Pinch of salt mate. The word around here is that there will undoubtedly be a major hit financially but the club should be able to survive it. We do have a large wage bill but as you'll have read that is being reduced signficantly.
We're also very much hoping Andy Robertson gets his big move this summer. That would help significantly, so for the next few weeks I'll be hoping Hull don't win games.
I also have massive concerns that the Chairman is making the decisions about who stays and goes. That is ridiculous, that's a footballing decision and he is not qualified to make those decisions.

can understand your point but King did same this time last year with our out of contract duds
why would any of them expect a new deal, would you actually keep any of them?
at least you signed Jim Spence
Ivan
But surely loss of place in top tier will seriously hammer finances and fan disolusionmemt will compound it.
At least killie and motherwell disnt have to cope with relegation.
No idea what du finances are like but it must harm any club yo be relegated
will the DU fans rally round an uptake ST?
thats why i'm here mate
mr positivity
at least you signed Jim Spence

honestly ....couldnt believe that when i seen it
Do you think you could have found a bigger coont if you had done a 'Britians got talent 'type search for one ??
Holy fck ...that man is a sack!
Dennis, to be fair you're maybe looking at only one or two who I'd have kept on, but I do believe that it should be a football man who makes that decision - it could have been delayed a fortnight to let us get a new man on board.
As for season tickets....I don't know is the simple answer. A lot of noise is being made about not getting tickets but that's just noise in my opinion. People will still buy the tickets, they always do. We've already sold over 1k. I've certainly already got mine.

I like Jim Spence. A passionate Arab who has the best interests of the club at heart.
This should have been done two years ago, not a day after letting most of the team go due to financial concerns.
spence is a tim
everyone knows it
Spence is an Arab. He may have a soft spot for Celtic for family reasons, but he's 100% a United fan and to say otherwise is pure paranoia from Rangers fans who do the typical Old Firm thing of assuming everyone supports one or the other.
Ivan - Jim's brother is a Tim, but he is defo an Arab ,
soft spot = tim
he looks like one aswel wi that ugly coupon and fooking turkey neck
