Probably sounds a bit of an obvious option but Yorkshire could do a good with Kane Williamson and if bairstow + Root avalible

Lancs again.

Lancashire? You must be kidding.

Got to between Essex and Sussex. Yorkshire are second favourite.

I honestly don't know how anyone could be classed as favourites because there are too many random factors in t20. The conditions on the day, the toss, the form of individual players, players choking on the day, dropped catches. Very fine margins involved. Could be anyone really.

It's like betting on a handicap race

Problem with Yorkshire is most of their key T20 players are on international duty playing for England.. They haven't really produced the goods over the last few years...

Also, the north league is much tougher and competitive than the south one...

Morning Gents

Thank you all for some interesting comments

I believe that Sussex will triumph this year because they have the toos to do so.......................If anybody has been checking the IPL out you will have seen just how good Fzz has been , Jordan has got his act together as well......Add Wright and Taylor into the mix and just watch them go

They won their only match so far without their 3 best players and were at a major disadvantage due to D L

The Yorkies are favourites but will get raped by England and have several top players missing for most of the T20 tournament, they have never won it and I can`t see that changing this season.

Tis a bit of a lottery, but squid`s tip Sussex have as good a chance as any, also Lancashire are usually thereabouts and are a decent price.

It's tricky but I am going to predict Birmingham Bears.
I actually think IPL is a lot better though to be honest, it just has this vava voom, along with plenty of top players over there.

After watching Birmingham last night, I don't think they have much of a chance. Took too long to get runs on the board but that's T20 I guess.

D'Oliveira looked a good player for Worcestershire.

Pre tournament favourites Yorkshire were hammered in their opening game, their T20 batting looks weak without their England lads and overseas.

Billy - spot on. Went yesterday to Yorks game. Complete waste of time. Batting looks awful. Not going to do anything without bairstow and root. Lancs game on Friday - should be a cracker

Worcestershire ! Best well run club without any superstars. Unlucky not to get to finals last season due to bad light . Already beat brum bears and durham!

Don't think it will be lancs or York's now. Went last night. Good win for lancs. Some good batting from brown and Livingstone set a too high a score for Yorks to chase. Root was class but had no support. Plunkett batting at 7 suggests a weak batting line up. Great atmosphere almost like a football match but got silly at times with having to stand to see the game. Everyone seemed to be spilling beer and throwing plastic pint pots about in my stand. Got home smelling of it. Lancs followed up losing today to Notts. Don't think it will be their year.

typical T20 in the opening few matches - no real form, teams winning and losing at random, yorks (tipped strongly above) hopeless so far...

any side could win the competition which is one of the reasons different fans turn up to this compared to county cricket, where if yr hants or derbs you know yr in for a crap season.

best to enjoy it for what it is - quick tempo cricket where quality is levelled by the format of the game. go and watch a few games, get some beers in, support your local county and then forget about it, while we wait for the more interesting stuff to resume later in the year.
