Compare our CFs to any of the other qualified countries - we've probably got the best strikers going to the Euros

England still have a rubbish central defence, but this England side is already looking better than any England team for about thirty years. No prima donnas in the team. Should do well at the Euros, against a lot of really average hyped up European teams.

Technically good England team? Hell no. Probably one of our worst ever. And yet, if this side broke the QF ceiling getting to the Semis at least I won't be surprised in the slightest.

There's a fearlessness to this team that gives them a spark. Haven't been more optimistic of England's chances at a major tournament since 2002 in Japan, which was the last one where we didn't disgrace ourselves.

If you think this team is better than our 98, 2002/4 team there is no helping you.

The team is a lot worse in terms of talent.

Especially in midfield and defence.

They do seem to have a good spirit about them though, and that can take you a long way.

I think we will either be a disaster or surprising last 8 / last 4.

Well if that is Spurs clinging on to the rocks, Chelsea must be the wildebeests that are all the way down there at the bottom.

We didn't disgrace ourselves in 2004, 2006 or 2010.

I'll give you Euro 2004. Portugal defeat fell flat but we played some decent football in the group + had the promise of Rooney to look ahead too going forward.

But 2006 and 2010 we were absolutely terrible. Never at any point in either tournament did we emerge as even a half credible threat to the serious teams despite having one of the best LB's, two of the best CB's/MC's and one of the best CF's in the world. Add to that we played with no heart what so ever. Re-watch the game against Algeria in South Africa, sums up our attitude in both tournaments perfectly.

I recall us playing well in 2010 for approx. 15 minutes against Germany before Lampard's disallowed goal. The rest of it was a coma inducing shambles.

Depends on your definition. We were very unlucky against Germany, could of been a different game had lampards goal counted.

Seriously not one good euro team is gonna care about alli and dier and Kane lad.

I think we'll do well to get out of the group.
