Automatically, any manager that willingly starts absolute asshats like Pepe and Ramos should be fired out of a cannon into the sun.
They epitomise everything I hate about football sometimes.
Oh and something something Bale something whatever something Ronaldo making it all about him as per usual something Carrasco's woman something.
He deserves plenty of applause for winning the CL but I would say it is still too early to really know how good a manager he really is. His subs today were poor and did little to help Real and he has been relatively lucky with the draw, avoiding Barca and Bayern. How he performs with a preseason and full season in charge will be interesting to see.
RDM won the CL, soon to be a Villa manager

Zidane has the potential to be a great manager. He set Real up correctly in the first half, Atleti were just terrible and resorted to long shots from 25 yards out. His subs though were awful, it could've cost him the game. Don't know why he took off Benzema tbh..

Behave, no one beats Fergie.

This is one of the worst Real sides I've seen in ages. They dont really have much of an x factor.
Usually when a side wins the CL you get a sense that they are the best side in Europe. But I don't feel that with this Real side. Obviously they're still a good team but its a fairly underwhelming feeling regarding them.
That's what happens with cups, the best side don't always win.
In the past decade I'd say the majority of the time they actually have, maybe just the 2 Real wins, Chelsea's win and Inter's weren't although Inter beat Barca that year by being better over 2 legs and winning the battle tactically.

They were but IMO we were the best team in Europe that season.
I absolutely adore Zizou, and I hope that the win tonight was a harbinger of an illustrious career ahead.
That being said, bringing on Vasquez and Isco was totally bone-headed. He exhausted all 3 subs, and lost his midfield.
Lucky, lucky, lucky.

I couldn't agree more. This is probably the weakest Madrid team I've seen since.... well ever. They aren't a great Real Madrid team. But they ground out the result and that is something they deserve huge credit for
I recall a Madrid side being humped 4-0 at Anfied. No way is this a worse side than that.
Not a "Wow" side, but I thought the starting XI were very good yesterday against a good side

I was talking purely in terms of ability. I genuinely don't know how good or not Real were back then but what I do know is that United were very very good at that time and Liverpool duffed us 4-1 a few days after that game. They were on another level at that time.

Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Cannavaro (Van der Vaart 64), Pepe, Heinze, Robben (Marcelo 46), Lassana Diarra, Gago (Guti 77), Sneijder, Raul, Higuain
Heinze and Gago were not R Madrid standard. Lass Diarra just about. The rest were more than good enough.
