Well Southgate finished bottom of his group at the under 21 Euros with one of the favourites so it's not a ringing endorsement of his credentials at international level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Does he still have the job?

We've got a panel of people who know nothing about football making the decision. They're bound to choose someone who'll be a failure.
Southgate has had very little success in his career, and I'm not confident he has a strong enough personality to avoid the same mistakes Hodgson made.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guess who has a strong personality?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bilic?

Tbh if he did not jump into the Celtic job, Rodgers would probably be the best choice.

I thought Hoddle was a decent England manager but in time his legend has grown higher than his achievements.
His side lost to Romania in the group stages in a poor match which meant he had a tough match in round 2 against Argentina.
Then in the later qualifying round for euro 2000 his side lost to sweden and drew 0-0 at home to Bulgaria.
He was goodish but can't really offer much now if his commentary is much to go by

Pardew, the guy who won 2 games in five months the second half of the season?
McLaren mark 2
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When southgate puts his arrsse on the line and manages a prem team, then I will know what kind of Mark 2 manager he will become. As of now he is Blegh u21 or whatever manager, with some ridiculous old school sensibilities something that is bound to fail woefully with England.
Despite the insults we are supposed to be at the level of Italy, Spain and co.
-----
Says who? We are not supposed to be at any level, that's a ridiculous way of thinking
It can't be done playing the football of Roy, mclaren and southgate. Pardew has the enthusiasm, the attack first mindset (which not particularly successful internationally) will be a welcome change to the last 20 years of cagey football.
Also a very good cup manager which really all international tournaments turn into. Skews towards the young, the technical. If he was given a brief to bin Rooney or better decides to do it himself he would have a great chance to build up this young batch coming through.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pardew is garbage. End of story I'm not even debating that. His form last season was woeful, he's lucky to still have a job and has been sacked from half the clubs he's managed.

It's a weird one, Hoddle was essentially punished for being outspoken about his religion.
All of that aside, he hasn't managed in a long time, I don't think it would works
