Why would any of them want to go to Arsenal when they're first team regulars at better teams?

Aubameyang has already said he'd only leave Dortmund for Real Madrid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, that was BS and he said he never said that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still, why would he want to go to Arsenal?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More money than hes on now

Well Dortmund continue to lose key players (although they've signed one back in Gotze).

We could double his wages and London is a bigger draw than Dortmund.

He probably knows how good Ozil is, so he probably thinks that him, Ozil, Sanchez, Xhaka etc. would be good enough to win the PL.

"No chance of winning trophy at Arsenal is BS”

IF Arsenal were to get PEA would have every chance as the other team to challenge for the title and other trophies.

Also, Arsenal will certainly continue to improve and fill the gaps if they re willing to go for PEA..

Being a French striker it's very possible Henry was one of his idols growing up and may want to follow in his footsteps

Aubameyang has already said he'd only leave Dortmund for Real Madrid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He posted on Twitter denying he ever said this.

And Arsenal are much bigger than Dortmund (Auba), Atletico (Griez) and Juventus (Dybala).

We have a much bigger fanbase and more financial power.

Sanchez turned down Juve to play for us and Ozil turned down mega-money PSG.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not denying that globally Arsenal are bigger then all 3 of those teams.

But they're not as good and have less chance of winning trophies then where they are now.

It would be a step backwards, I'm really struggling to see any reasons why they would want to leave other then the opportunity to play in the prem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Players often take a step backwards, pretty much all of United's signings have but as with Arsenal if a top player signs they could propel the side into being genuine league challengers (particularly if we signed a competent CF) so it's not as straight forward as saying they finished here last season therefore it's a step back and they'll finish there again next.

Yeah but let's be honest Arsenal aren't gonna sign Aubamayang are they?

posted on 2/8/16

True, money is probably more significant then the quality of a side now, just look at the signings United have made.

But still, do you honestly believe that you are going to sign a striker of Griezzmann or Aubameyang's caliber? You lot go through this every season and you never learn ffs.

If anyone think we are looking to sign Griezmann they need a big slap. We have about as much chance of getting him as we do signing Messi or Ronaldo.

---------------------

Up to 2013 I would have agreed completely.

But signing Ozil changed everything.

I never imagined that we could sign a player of such quality and profile. Germany's biggest star and second only to Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

All bets were off after that.

You've already made your marquee signing with Xhaka, season before it was Cech, before that Sanchez and before that Ozil.

no I don't think for a second we'll sign them but that's not because we can't or they wouldn't come to us.

We have more than enough money to force each club to sell and more than enough money to pay the players a rate they'd accept to come here but we don't have the ambition to do so...

As proved by LCFC you do not need all these glamorous names and complexity to win the title. IF you do the simple thing right you have as much chance as everyone. With decent striker Arsenal will have decent chance considering we have the best creators and midfield around.

You say that and yet you still haven't signed a striker, something you've needed to do since RVP left, perhaps early than that. If Ozil had made a significant difference then surely you would have already signed a striker

Of course not. Have you seen Liquid's post history?! He's an embarrassing mess of a troll. Don't tar us all with his brush (something rival fans seem to take glee in dong for whatever bizarre reason).

Good for you, if you had actually gone back and read what I was replying to you would have seen that I was referring to whether or not signing Ozil had made a significant impact to arsenals transfer policy and whether or not it has made it more likely for the club to go out and spend money on the world class striker they need, but still good for you

The Ozil, Sanchez and Cech signings give a slightly false impression.

We didn't identify these players and force a move, certainly not in the same way we'd have to, to sign a top CF.

They were offered to us. Ozil and Sanchez at a cut price because their clubs saw them as surplus to requirements, we did however manage to fight off other clubs in terms of attracting the players though.

Cech simply wanted first team football and to stay in London, Chelsea let him go to us out of respect for the player, not because we forced their hand.

we bought sanchez, who we needed, cech who we needed and xhaka who we needed. there are 11 players on a team not just 1. Then there are the players who we have bid on

Sanchez was offered to us at a cut price.
Cech swung his move to us not Arsenal forcing the move.
Xhaka we bought, he's never used as an example as us signing a top player though and rightly so - hence why I didn't mention him.
