1 of which was offside
2 of which were deflections
1 of which was a miss kick
-------------------------------------------------

There was no offside.

There was one deflection from Tierney's shot/cross that came at the end of a sweeping move that had the Man City defence at full stretch.

Dembele might not have made the sweetest connection for his second but let's credit the young guy for having the audacity and confidence to take it on.

Both teams got lucky last night with some of their goals. Us for our second and them for their first and third.

I know this isnt the Celtic of say 10, 15 years ago but come on, its a draw at home in the group stage, good result against a very strong side, but hardly something to be jumping and shouting about, Celtic are surely better than that.

++++

I disagree totally with this

If it was 10-15 years ago then I could understand because there was not the same gulf between Scottish and English football then

It is massive now and even more so when you look at the millions (probably billions when you take everything into account) that have been pumped into Man City since then

Also, I don't think it is the point as such that is being celebrated but more the level of performance

Celtic went toe to toe with one of the richest and best teams in Europe and did not look out of place

If that is not worth jumping and shouting about as a football fan then you should probably not bother watching in the first place

We just showed last night that there isn't that much of gap between Celtic and English football. That was the best they had to offer and they got a lucky draw.
