This has happened to United fans as well. And City fans are as guilty with their taunts as anyone, so they can hardly complain.

I remember commentators on TV referring to our 'fabulous fans', while the fact that we drew support from far and wide was something to be celebrated, not mocked.

And in his book Fever Pitch, Nick Hornby described United fans as being 'imbued with a frustrated grandeur'.

However, United then made the mistake of winning lots of trophies.

United fans also make a point of mentioning empty seats which looks a bit daft these days 👍

It's just a lazy chant to be honest. Don't really buy the plastics argument in all honesty.

Chelsea however is a different story. I know numerous people I went to secondary school (started there in 95) who've since stoped supporting the likes of Spurs, Newcastle, Liverpool and Nottingham forest to hop on board the chaaaav bandwagon.

I object to my tax going on a stadium for a relegation club whose fans fight amongst themselves.

Muffin is right to stay at home and hide behind the sofa.

My mate - from London of course - who is a United fan, stopped with us on Saturday night. Told me Sunday was the flattest atmosphere he's ever experienced at OT. Said the Stoke fans were the only ones making a noise, So perhaps the empty blue seats merchants should actually go along to support their own team and make some noise there,
