There is no way back if true and it seems to fit in with what Radio Derby have been suggesting.

However, the players have once again proven themselves to be absolutely pathetic in all this.

I actually despise them at the moment.

In fact, all 3 parties - Pearson, Morris and the players have completely behaved as their biggest detractors would expect them to.

The whole episode is so depressing as a DCFC and football supporter.

Disappointed to read this, really wanted Nigel to do well at Derby as I obviously hold him in high regard after what he achieved at Leicester, this and previous incidents surely hamper his chances of getting another decent job?

Chris - Why do you despise the players for complaining about the verbal abuse Pearson apparently directed at them?

This is the 21st Century - there is no place in our society for "bullying" and, given what we have heard about Pearson over the years, it seems more than likely that he laid into the players with a very out of date hairdryer.

If the players then went to Mel to complain, then they were right to. If they weren't happy playing for him then, frankly, what they did was in our best interests as well as his because results certainly weren't about to improve.

If Mel then approached Pearson to discuss matters, and Pearson has reacted by getting physical as has been reported, then it just goes to show that the players were right.

Suspending Pearson ahead of a sacking for gross misconduct (without pay) would be the right way to go about it.

I despise them because they seem to believe they have the right to decide who the manager is and that they can decide when to work for their wages. They are stealing a living.

If they are unhappy try sorting it out with the line manager first rather than going crying to uncle Mel like a load of over entitled teenagers.

It's not just this though. They decided to withdraw their labour for Clement and have proved themselves over and over again to be gutless cowards.

Someone at sometime will need to do the job that Pearson was supposed to do and ship em out.

I see this a lot lately "these players". Who are "these players"? Name names. Stop keep hiding and generalising behind the phrase "these players".

If it's a team game they take the plaudits and accept the criticism as a group, that's just how it works.

I obviously don't see what goes on from day to day but the strong impression I get is that the players do exactly what they like and anyone who tries to rein them in they will see off one way or another.

If that's the way it is going to be then I think we may as well have CP long term. He's an agreeable chap who won't upset anybody so the players might actually at least try and do a job for him for a while. Don't expect any different outcomes until someone is allowed to do a proper repair rather than the current quick botch jobs though

Chris - let's look at "facts" shall we, rather than making such sweeping statements based on personal views?

2 years ago we collapsed when our manager (not our players) lost the plot and manipulated the club. I don't think anyone on here doubts that to have been the case.

Last season we started out ok under Clement, then got better as the players bought into his philosophy. It went wrong in a very quick way when something behind the scenes happened.

If, as has been reported, there may have been shenanigans going on involving PC and someone's wife, then it is understandable that the players would have lost the desire to play for him.

Would you be happy working for someone who was sh4gging your (or your mates) wife?

Wassall came in and, being a decent bloke, the players responded. I didn't see any lack of desire in the 2nd leg v Hull, even after we had blown our chances at home the lads came out and played with their hearts on their sleeves.

Players don't have the right to decide who the manager is and I doubt if they think that way.

But equally, they do have the right to be treated with respect and not be subjected to bullying. As do we all.

When its their line manager doing the bullying, what else can they do expect go one step up the line?

how times have changed , Brian Clough would not have lasted a day, look what happened at Leeds .
He used to make new lads have an hair cut in the corridor at the BBG and if he inspected it and he was not happy he instructed the hairdresser to cut it shorter .
Happy days ?

They're ALL winners just for taking part, eh Peeder?

FFS, stop burning your bra for a minute and consider the implications of the reported shenanigans; these millionaires aren't motivated by hugs, cuddles, and inspirational memes of kittens and they need a shake-up. Looking at the hysterical arm-waving and blaming doled out by Captain No-Tackle I can only hope he's the next one out of the door so as not to offend the delicate sensibilities* of the poor darlings.

I would not believe a word of anything I read in The Sun. It is merely Rupert's vehicle for controlling as much of the lives of GB citizens as he possible can from his position in the USA. Power without responsibility.

The club has not dismissed it as nonsense. The statement says that "wild speculation of this sort is unwarranted" which isn't the same thing at all. Sounds like there is some truth in it to me.

I normally tend to the view that players need to man up and get on with their job and that mollycoddling is not what should be necessary, but it depends on the detail. If a manager is ridiculously over the top in his criticism and if it is personal and unfair then they have a right to complain. If they don't feel that their immediate "line manager" is likely to listen then they are entitled to go above him. What Morris should do though is to listen to both sides and try to sort it out peaceably if possible. We're not going to find out the whole truth so our interpretation of events will depend on our innate prejudices. No change there then.

I hear it's likely to be Steve Bruce next by the way.

If that was true I'd of packed her bags & drove her round to his house & left them to it.

What about the first leg? If they'd of been consistent they would of got the automatics

How many managers have been sacked because players have spat their dummies out?

Every player is different. You will find what works for one player does not work for another. Its how u manage different ego's. Some may need a cuddle...some may need an ass whopping...some may need a quiet firm word. If the players have gone to Mel Morris in a group then there seems to be something seriously been said or done.

Anyway..i feel the biggest problem we have had is Pearson's stubborn stance on playing Hughes & Bryson TOGETHER in a 2 man midfield. We never looked like a side with that set up. Not saying neither can play it but certainly not together. Every Derby fan should know Hughes and Bryson are at their best in a 3. I had no problem with Pearson playing 442..but FFS when you have the tools to do it.

Agreed Backo, you would think NP hed not managed a club before with the way he ran the team.

I heard today from a reliable source that a current player's father told him that allegedly Idiakez nutted Mel and that is why he went straight away. He said that NP got very near to doing the same to Mel. The sooner NP has gone the better and we can move on with a new manager and I hope it's not Bruce. His ugly face would upset some of our more delicate lads.

I don't care who it is as long as he/she is lucky & brings the best out of what he/she has available
