Good point on the barca issue. I wonder if he will be given time to succeed though seeing as he has this messiah reputation. If city don't win anything this year...

I think we can all agree this is easily the hardest managerial job he has had so far. Some would argue the only one and even still he probably has the best squad in the league idk if its the most expensive anymore but definitely up there.

He spent 181 million according to transfermarkt, 37m potentially more on what looked like the next jermaine pennant again tonight. Bravo, Stones apparently ones he has bought thinking they will fit what he wants yet they are the ones causing the most mistakes?

Hes got his work cut out thats all i know, hes not doing that bad still but don't think hes done great either but only time will tell if he is truly as good as his past success suggests and all the hype.

Wow. I thought Jesus was under 20 million and sane was about 34. I read that he was shocked at the age of the squad he inherited, only 5 under 25 when he took over.

37 for sane i think with addons that says 42.5 :/ cant believe Barca got 17m for Bravo they really milked peps desperation.

I'm not sure I buy into that playing the ball out from the back business. It worked for Barca because they are pass masters. Also the Nou Camp pitch is huge.

City for a start don't have players with the level of technique as Barca's. Added to that, in England the pace appears quicker and teams seem to employ the pressing game more.

Pep did a great job at Barca. He inherited some great players but made some big calls and improved some players no end.

At Bayern he did a decent job but no more than any good manager would have done.

City is his biggest test so far. He came in and won and everyone thought usual all conquering Pep but they have been brought back to reality. Time will tell.

Most pitches are the same size.

Camp Nou is the same size pitch as stoke and Bournmouth for example

Are you sure?

I thought it was abnormally large such that it stretched size limits to the max

Nah it just looks that way because of the bowl stadium and far away camera angle. Same deal with the old Wembley. It looked big because of the gap between the pitch and the stands.

If you've seen Liverpool at home this season it's the same effect. Anfield looks huge because the camera is higher up on the new tier.

The premier league handbook gives all the pitch dimensions. Most are 105x68. Same as camp Nou

He's class. Best manager in the world bar none.

The lazy "anyone can win with Barca...." argument is one that the less-informed choose to believe. If you'd had watched Barca regularly before he got there you'd understand
