When I was younger, snobs would say ‘ I never watch TV’.

That’s when I Claudius, Brideshead, Fawlty, Yes Minister, World at War

etc etc etc was being made.

I don’t watch TV cos it’s mainly pitched at 8 years olds now.

Anything good you can get in cinema, iPlayer, Catch Up, Netflix & the

stuff mentioned above.

Kodi is good for films. Can be a bit hit and miss but that's probably more to do with me being crap with any technology better than a baker lite telephone

I've been with Virgin for the last 8 years now, they're decent and my old man is paying them about £20 a month for fibre optic 50MB speed broadband and free landline calls in the weekend.

Virgin ok mate - out to make like everyone else but prnband speed is exhamstercellent

I was with virgin with the full package....around £120 per month, cancelled my tv package and saved £65 per month, I bought one of those zgemma h2h boxes, £155 one off payment, basically plug your cable into the back of the box, connect an Ethernet cable to it as well and you have every channel sky and virgin have as well as having all the 'kodi' type streams as well....my biggest gripe with kodi and the like was streaming live sports, quality was always poor but now everything is top quality, well worth it.

I'm surprised sky didn't fix it in first place. In my experience they've actually had decent customer service - i once cancelled direct debit on the bill as I was a bit tight for cash and decided they were ones I worry about least. They just rearranged the date I pay after I phoned up so that it was after my pay cleared. Main problem was I went from weekly pay to monthly so had to cope without was I was used to coming in for longer than normal.

That was few years back and I had a mate working there who told me what to do though. But guy I got seemed genuinely looking to help.

Yours is a legitimate gripe. Mine was just my doing mainly.

I'm assuming those who have used Kodi for footy and have experienced poor quality were using the free add ons such as Phoenix, UK Turks, Sports Devil, Bulldog etc...?

Sports Nation HD / Sports Mania is superb and cheap.

I'm part of a Facebook Kodi group with access to private streams. You need a login to access them but they are superb so far.

You donate as much or as little as you want

Oh cool, didn't know about that, what's it called?

Ah, you could have dropped to the basic package and bought yourself a dreambox and get it programmed and have the full lot.

I lost my signal once and had to wait 3 weeks. All that was needed was realignment. Pephaps wind, bird or a ball skudding aff it was the cause. Wish I'd known at the time.

Sky are a fortune and your treatment warrants 6 months at least reduced service costs and free setup of Q.

My honest opinion virgin and BT ain't that good. Perhaps a little hand release by the misses on that day you decided to pack it all in would have calmed you done a bit for making better judgment.

Good luck

If you log in to "my sky" in a week or wait for them to call in three weeks they should offer you 50% off and a rolling monthly contract.

Alternatively just let it cancel. Though it isn't the cheapest BT Infinity is a good option as companies like talk talk outsource call centres which brings with it issues.
